How would a prime Oscar Bonavena would do in today's era in the heavyweight division? Do you think he would win one of the alphabet belts?

He would have been in the same place he was in his actual times. He was tough and he would have looked tough today, but he was a such kind of a fighter, who would have always been outboxed by the practitioners of the rational boxing approach. As boxing skillset has significantly developed through the history, today any top competitor seems to be able to outbox that type of fighters Bonavena was. Furthermore we also can't forget about the size advantage of current athletes.

Had he fought in the last several years, he would have won some WBS trinket or another. He probably would have had several WBS titles defenses against no talents with misleading pretty records.
We should forget the size advantage since the heavier man only wins 49-51% of heavyweight fights in the real world.
He was a tough fighter who was willing to fight anyone. His pressure style of fighting would make him a an opponent that others would not be used to dealing with. He certainly had his limitations, but he was a pretty good fighter.
