Shane "Mountain Man" Cameron.
For putting on good fight nights when no one else is, for his work in the community with his wife Tania on school bullying, for passing on his knowledge as a trainer and for getting local fight nights on the TV.

Re: Who is your top promoter in boxing right now?
Top Rank put on good shows.
Re: Who is your top promoter in boxing right now?
isnt pbc like a brand name that contracts out to different promoters? like, dont guys like dibella, yvon michel, etc put on cards for them? kind of an odd ball status i guess. if we count all the fights put on under the pbc name they do some good stuff for sure
hearn has put on a lot of good uk cards, really well done promotionally
golden boy, i dunno, some good stuff, but they have a lot of absolutely awful cards just stacking prospects vs total cans
main events was pretty much just kovalev for the last few years, dont know what there gonna do now
top rank has some good stuff with top fighters, although getting really bored with how they match guys like zurdo, and them not putting guys into the wbss
a lot of good fights put on in japan
ringstar still new and hasnt really done much

The PBC isn't a promoter - it's a TV series. They use third-party promoters to stage their events.
Re: Who is your top promoter in boxing right now?
Matchroom is today's best for sure. Top Rank probably follows. And what about Sauerland? I guess, it should be in the list, they're also big today, among the best.

Suprised Sauerland is not on there hes doing very well with these tournaments. Personally i had to vote for allegedly the way he puts on shows in the copperbox proves hes the best promoter.

I just didn't include Team Sauerland in the poll..leftrightleft wrote: ↑15 Aug 2018, 07:19 Suprised Sauerland is not on there hes doing very well with these tournaments. Personally i had to vote for allegedly the way he puts on shows in the copperbox proves hes the best promoter.
The WBSS fights are not being promoted by Team Sauerland though, unless one of their fighters are on the card, Kalle is kinda like the face of WBBS..
Also, I believe Kalle had to part ways with Team Sauerland as long as he was affiliated with Comosa and the WBSS.

WBSS is a great idea but i dont like Sauerland because of the robberies. Also, German boxing in general is in big crisis.
Eddie Hearn is #1 right now (but referees on his events make terrible job just like recently in Chisora-Takam and Whyte-Parker fights), i also enjoyed Russian cards organized by Andrey Riabinski's Mir Boksa (World of Boxing)
Among Polish promoters i am impressed how Andrzej Wasilewski managed to settle average boxers like Pawel Kolodziej, Andrzej Wawrzyk, Lukasz Janik, Artur Szpilka in a world title fights, without him probably none of them would eve get a titleshot

Re: Who is your top promoter in boxing right now?
What barometer is being used to determine the “top promoter in boxing right now”?
Is it the promotional company that:
• Attracts the biggest TV audience viewing figures?
• Generates the most PPV/gate receipts revenue?
• Consistently provides the most events dates covered by TV networks throughout the calendar year?
• Has the biggest stable of fighters?
• Has the most big-name stars in their stable?
• Is worth the most money?
• Has the most successful and profitable long-term business operation?
• Has the biggest war chest at their disposal?
• Has the best reputation?
• Is the most influential from a global perspective?
• Is the most well-known?
You could potentially draw a different conclusion using one or more of the criteria listed above.

Re: Who is your top promoter in boxing right now?
Just of a question of who is 'YOUR' top promoter.. All in all, you can add all those above.. Mix it up a little. No promoter is perfect, but there are some that are surely doing their bit.Enlightened-One wrote: ↑15 Aug 2018, 10:34 What barometer is being used to determine the “top promoter in boxing right now”?

Pretty much you can put DiBella, TMT, and all of Gaymon's cronies under PBC. No need to separate them out.Enlightened-One wrote: ↑14 Aug 2018, 19:57 The PBC isn't a promoter - it's a TV series. They use third-party promoters to stage their events.

Re: Who is your top promoter in boxing right now?
80% of them are like Jammy says, prospect against tomato can. As soon as the announcer reads out the details, you can tell who is going to win and who is going to lose. I understand these are next gen shows, but they could at least make the main event competitive like Eddie does

Tom Brown, who usually promotes the Spence shows for PBC.

I thought he was under DiBella. Don't even know that guy. I swear. PBC is just a hodgepodge of fronts.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑15 Aug 2018, 17:57Tom Brown, who usually promotes the Spence shows for PBC.

Re: Who is your top promoter in boxing right now?
Top Rank, Main Events and Golden Boy have all previously accused Al Haymon of being a promoter, but when they went to court, their lawsuits were either voluntarily dropped by themselves due to their futile nature or very quickly dismissed by the judges, none of their cases ever went to trail as they failed miserably to prove any wrongdoing… and we’re talking about lightning-fast judgements that were delivered by the judges in a few minutes.
Do you want to know the conclusion I’ve drawn from knowing this FACT? You probably won't, but I’ll tell you anyway… Al Haymon isn’t a fȕck¡ng promoter!!!
Why on earth are you accusing a man you’ve never met, you’ve never even seen talk, you’ve never read any of his interview transcripts, a person you know absolutely nothing about, of being a PROMOTER when it’s blatantly obvious that he fȕck¡ng isn’t?
I'll let you stew over that one, because you'll inevitably fail to provide a meaningful response that undermines anything I've written.
Re: Who is your top promoter in boxing right now?
I would say Matchroom without hesitation but I wouldn't rule out a little bias on my part due to geography and the constant exposure.
