Re: Carl Frampton vs. Luke Jackson - 18 August 2018
You can get rail and sail return for about 60 quid from here as well which is pretty decent. Train from Paisley then bus link from Ayr to ferry terminal.

Carl Frampton Just Makes Weight For Jackson Clash
What's he playing at? He came in overweight not too long ago as well. Now he's stripping down again. I wonder how much he weight he cuts.

He came in at the 126lbs featherweight limit exactly after ditching his boxers.
Luke Jackson had tipped the scales at a very light 124.7lbs.

Crap fight especially for a stadium
I'm only interested in the Paddy Barnes fight.

After stripping naked and just about making weight, Frampton said "I'm in the shape of my life."

Pretty worrying. As you say that's twice he's obviously struggled now. He's a small feather as well!Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑17 Aug 2018, 10:46 After stripping naked and just about making weight, Frampton said "I'm in the shape of my life."

How much does a guy like Warburton make for this fight? ...
Re: Carl Frampton vs. Luke Jackson - 18 August 2018
Maybe it's my antipodean bias, but I think Action is going to cause an upset here.
Frampton is on the slide, can we at least agree on that?
And I think Action Jackson will pile on the pressure and defeather the Jackel.

must be tough making weight with such an enormous head
Re: Carl Frampton vs. Luke Jackson - 18 August 2018
To be fair he was bang on the weight first time of asking wasn’t he? So he’s come in bang on 126lbs as he should.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑17 Aug 2018, 10:46 After stripping naked and just about making weight, Frampton said "I'm in the shape of my life."
Re: Carl Frampton vs. Luke Jackson - 18 August 2018
Framptons peak has past I'd I agree yeah. I wouldn't say he's on the slide though. That's a bit dramatic. He's still a top operator in a hard division. He'll get his first stoppage since Avalos tonight. Frampton in 4/5 rounds.
Re: Carl Frampton vs. Luke Jackson - 18 August 2018
Jackson seems a nice guy. Interesting dude. He's got himself in to great shape and was well inside the featherweight limit. Looks as if he could make SBW actually.
Re: Carl Frampton vs. Luke Jackson - 18 August 2018
Why do you think Frampton will get the stoppage? He doesn't seem to hit particularly hard at Featherweight and Jackson looks to be fairly durable although limited.
Re: Carl Frampton vs. Luke Jackson - 18 August 2018
I think he's gonna go for the stoppage the way he's talking and he'll slow Jackson down gradually then stop him. Jackson did look in some shape though! Interesting guy as wellEttt9350 wrote: ↑18 Aug 2018, 08:44Why do you think Frampton will get the stoppage? I think he needs the stoppage really or the fans wont be bowled over, unless it is a 12 round war!Stuarty wrote: ↑18 Aug 2018, 08:48I think he's gonna go for the stoppage the way he's talking and he'll slow Jackson down gradually then stop him. Re: Carl Frampton vs. Luke Jackson - 18 August 2018
I‘ve a funny feeling about this one. I just had a punt on Jackson at 20 to 1.
Re: Carl Frampton vs. Luke Jackson - 18 August 2018
In think the way Jackson is talking he's gonna have a right go and he looks in shape. That could be a mistake. Closer it gets and the more I read people on here fancying Jackson the more I'm looking forward to it.Ettt9350 wrote: ↑18 Aug 2018, 11:19I think he needs the stoppage really or the fans wont be bowled over, unless it is a 12 round war!
Re: Carl Frampton vs. Luke Jackson - 18 August 2018
It would probably be pretty competitive even if Jackson wasn't all that great. Frampton has a tendency to make every fight hard. Don't get me wrong he always performs at a high level, but he always has moments of difficulty in almost all of his fights.Stuarty wrote: ↑18 Aug 2018, 11:51In think the way Jackson is talking he's gonna have a right go and he looks in shape. Re: Carl Frampton vs. Luke Jackson - 18 August 2018
20/1 in a two horse race is always worth a punt mate. Jackson is in great shape and proper motivated. He's got the will and the fitness but I think he'll be outclassed, or at least I hope so!
Re: Carl Frampton vs. Luke Jackson - 18 August 2018
Same here Stuart, I like Carl he’s a Belfast boy. I can’t shake the feeling though and, as you say, 20 to 1 is always tempting.

No sir, in spite of the odds I‘m not taking the bait for that one.
