How does he? He arguably didn't beat chisora. Doesn't he need to clean out the doubt there before he moves on?
No. He beat Parker ffs
Why for fucks sake? Whyte was fucked on the final bell, out on his feet. Yes he got the decision but the only person physically beat in the contest was Whyte. You did see the 12th round, didn't you?
I remember when Arsenal played Man Utd in the FA Cup final, mid 00's some time. United absolutely dominated, was something ridiculous... like 20 shots to 2... all over us (Arsenal). Somehow held out... 0-0 full time... should've lost like 5-0. Arsenal won on penalties... they didn't give the trophy to United
Titles and ranking aren't decided on facts like nearly losing. You can't take away someone's shot at a title by saying "what if there was a 13th round? What if rounds were 3min and 30secs long?". That'd be ridiculous

The Whyte- Parker fight was 12 rounds. Whyte won after 12 rounds. Yes he got rocked in the last but I’ve never seen anything in Parker at the highest level- to suggest he was going to go through the gears and finish him off.
We all want AJ-Wilder and the WBO not recognising him fighting Povetkin (their #1 fighter) as a mandatory is as stupid as it gets.
If the big one doesn’t happen I’d be happy with AJ-Whyte as Whyte has improved vastly since the first fight.
Everyone mentions the Chis fight but that was the best I’ve seen Chis fight in a long time.
Chisora, Browne and Parker is a solid win streak regardless of the substance of the fights.
AJ-Whyte is a competetive and marketable rematch.
I’d also be happy with Wilder-Breazeale.
Breazeale isn’t the most technically gifted and could well be outboxed and destroyed by Wilder.
But Breazeale has arguably the best heart in the division. Always seems to beat adversity and upset the odds to win.
What happens if Wilder batters him for 5 rounds yet Breazeale is still swinging back at him? Could be one-sided - could be a good fight and test.
In a division of a potential superfight and underserving contenders AJ-Whyte and Wilder-Breazeale is a good compromise.

Agree, it's totally ridiculous.
It looks like the Fury-Wiider contest might really be happening this year.
If it does and Fury wins he would be the WBC/Lineal champion and all the attention would turn to a massive Joshua-Fury fight instead.

Just drop the belt. Fvck it, what’s it worth anyway, especially if he fights the winner of any potential Wilder/Fury fight.
It could work out brilliantly if it all happens. Hearn would get a piece of the WBO anyway if Whyte picks it up after AJ drops it. Wilder and Fury face off for the right to fight AJ...if all fights are competitive, then they can start mixing it with each other again,
Obviously none of that will happen, it’s heavyweight boxing remember. Always fails to deliver in these circumstances!

As a United fan I would thank Dan for not mentioning the 2005 FA cup final ever again.
Khan vs Maidana would have probably been a better analogy.
Khan beat Maidana.
That is a fact.
Khan was in just as bad shape as Whyte in the last round, but Khan won the fight. Just as Whyte won his fight.
Both men deserved their respective wins, but could have been stopped in the last round had they not been the A side/home fighter.
That doesn't mean that they weren't good wins and they shouldn't get credit for them.
It certainly isn't any worse than losing round after round vs mediocre opposition before pulling out a massive punch like Wilder has done more than once.

You're like a dog with a bone.
Everyone acknowledges that Whyte was close with Chisora AND Parker.
No one agrees that this somehow invalidates Whyte's wins and forces him to stay fighting rematches at contender level.

Wtf, Whyte cleaned up in that fight. The only reason he was out on his legs in the last round is becuse he wanted to carry on going at it and leave it all in the ring, the guys a warrior. He could have just taken the back foot wound down the clock and not been troubled, Parker needed a knockout to win.

No, I am a person with an opinion. It may to be different to you and one or two others or many others, but I'm not sold on Whyte and hate the fact that Hearn is pushing for Joshua-Wilder and instead pushing a shite rematch in the form of Joshua-Whyte, which will prove absolutely nothing and instead generate Matchroom millions in a safe fight.
I can't believe that people are willing to happily accept the rematch at the expense of the Wilder fight. I'm genuinely surprised by this. I guess people have been far too willing to swallow Eddie's bullshit.
Good luck to Whyte. He scraped past Chisora and he crawled over the line against Parker, holding on for dear life or the final bell. But how do YOU know 'no one' doesn't think Whyte is deserving of the rematch?

Mate, Whyte got smashed in the final round and was hanging on for dear life. Not impressive at all and he certainly didn't clean up. I'm sure if he could have stayed out of trouble he would have but the truth is he didn't. Parker put it on him late and Whyte couldn't handle it.

You sure are right about THAT.
It seems it's making you so angry you're taking it out on the wrong guy - Whyte's CV.
Stay mad at Hearn and the whole cynical 'business'of boxing masquerading as a sport and leave "The Villian's wins alone !

This is some of the dumbest crap I’ve ever heard. Stats and rankings aren’t determined by opinions, they’re determined by W, L, D
