Sky sports commentary is biased but jesus Jones can't half favour the house fighter sometimes. He was talking how Barnes was winning the round moments before the knockout. As someone said further up I couldn't see it going any other way after thr first 2 rounds.

Paddy will never hit the am heights in the pros - that was man vs boy in there.
I had Paddy 2--1 up, but scores were always gonna be irrelevant.

What on earth was Warren thinking? Tall, rangy, hard punching, experienced. After five fights?

Fancied Rosales by stoppage before, but didn't expect that soon.jameswilson wrote: ↑18 Aug 2018, 15:15Sky sports commentary is biased but jesus Jones can't half favour the house fighter sometimes. Gutted for Barnes but not surprised really, I fancied Rosales to force a stoppage but I guessed in the second half, I know they had to fast track Barnes due to his age but ive never seen anything in him as a pro to suggest he was anywhere near world level, he was actually having a decent spell before getting creased but he fought the wrong fight by trading with Rosales, even the head shots clipped Barnes easily on the inside and the he was moving back in straight lines, a lot of poor form giving his amateur pedigree
Beautiful right hand across the body from Rosales, you knew straight away Barnes was done

A boxer's career shouldn't be a punt IMO.jameswilson wrote: ↑18 Aug 2018, 15:19We take a punt we get home advantage.keithmoonhangover wrote: ↑18 Aug 2018, 15:17 What on earth was Warren thinking? Tall, rangy, hard punching, experienced. After five fights?

The fight started very fast with both boxers mixing it up. By the third round, Rosales was just the stronger and more constant fighter. Barnes did not have the power to fight Rosales off.
Near the closing moments of the third round, just before the bell sounded, Rosales landed a huge hook to the body that sent Barnes down and rolling around in pain, and he was fully counted out.

Next matchup scheduled or just a floater because of early finish?
No time for fights like this after a decent fight like that, wish they'd still use allegedly for all the undercard fights. Can see a lot of people getting flicking between channel's now.

Could see Tyson hit the canvas tonight, he’s an unknown quantity over 12 rounds these days, those skinny legs might shake a bit if the other guy manages to land, assuming he’s not just over here as a patsy.

Willie has caused an upset now and then. Hope he can give Crocker a test here.

Warby's trunks similar to the ones Lennox Lewis wore sometimes. A different color, but similar design with that "shape-changing" stripes.

If you look on Boxrec WW has 3 more fights booked in the next 6 weeks. He doesn't want to be stopped here and get a suspension.

Yeah Barnes is 31 and an opportunity came up - gotta roll the dice.jameswilson wrote: ↑18 Aug 2018, 15:19We take a punt we get home advantage.keithmoonhangover wrote: ↑18 Aug 2018, 15:17 What on earth was Warren thinking? Tall, rangy, hard punching, experienced. After five fights?
He didn't lose that because he wasn't experienced enough.
Barnes can probably come back from that better now than he could in 3-4 fights time too. Not sure he will though - he doesn't look hard enough for the pros. Neither did Khan or Wlad tho, so good luck to him...
In other news...
You gotta admire journeyman like Warburton - what a way to make a living losing 60-54 to younger, faster punchers

Barnes was doing well but when he was exchanging Rosales was the more comfortable. He looked cool when getting caught and Barnes looked a bit panicky. You could see from early that it was gonna end in tears for him.
