Where? UK? US?
It is mathematics when two negatives make a positive, not boxing.
I'm talking about Race.

Cooney vs Holmes, McGregor vs Mayweather...those were blockbusters because of the Race Factor as much as anything. It's an ugly part of the sport IMO, but it's a part of it nonetheless, and it'll help make this fight that much bigger because of the diversity in the fighters and their fans.
What a shame that mods can't be added to the ignore list.
I can't make an honest observation? I didn't say it was a GOOD THING that this was a big factor in selling the fight. I'm just acknowledging that it is in fact a thing.

Ignoring it doesn't make it untrue. I'd very much prefer the World would move past that sorta thing as well, but alas Humans still have a long way to go in evolving past these things.

I mean he's as ready as he's ever gonna be for Wilder in my opinion. All the tune ups in the world ain't gonna change the result when he steps in there with Wilder. Wilder's knocking him out.
Wilder has a different style, he'll go looking for Fury. That suits TF.
He keeps his distance, and gets good pop on his shots though. I fully expect he'll lose every round of the fight UNTIL he catches Fury, but I think it's inevitable that he will catch Fury.
I dunno. I honestly think it's up in the air. Depends if Fury can regain most of his full skillset before November, but going 10 tonight won't have done him any harm at all in that regard.

Yeah, but he's in with an entirely different fighter in Wilder. Wilder is at least twice as fast as Pianeta, hits at least twice as hard, is at least twice as aggressive, and is pretty close to Fury's height as well. I think he's a few inches shorter, but Fury's size and reach won't be the factor here that it is against most opponents.

I don't know that it matters. Fury apparently sells himself with his personality. He's never been entertaining in the ring.
That's pretty much it, dull in the ring but the buildup will be epic.

Shame. Frampton has said all the bigger fights he’s after will likely be in USA.. you reckon he’ll fight on Fury-Wilder card?

How so?

My observations are always 100% honest. It's a well known fact that I dislike Fury, but I gave him props on the things he did well today. I think it's fair to say I'm one of the more knowledgeable posters on the site in spite of the fact that I occasionally say things that are too much for your delicate sensibilities.

Jackson looks woefully out of his depth rather than Frampton looking good. Eg Frampton is hanging chin in air and not moving head but Jackson cannot take advantage

I don’t think race had anything to do with Mayweather v McGregor and Cooney was a long time ago in the big white hope days. World has moved on and also a ten year reign by a white guy has taken away that thirst
I guarantee you Race had a lot to do with Mayweather vs McGregor. I personally know a bunch of Redneck white guys that don't give one single f*ck about Combat Sports that were WAY interested in May vs Mac....and it wasn't because it was Boxer vs UFC.

We'd like to think the world has moved past that kinda thing, but it hasn't.
Well, that may well be true over there, but it certainly wasn’t sold or regarded anything as such here.

I picked Frampton by KO rounds 4 thru 6. If Jackson can survive Round 3 here I'd say that's a good looking pick because Jackson definitely looks outgunned here, and the stoppage seems almost inevitable.

Perhaps you said it first I’m reading the thread backwards...fair dos.

Yeah I’m sure some see it that way. I’m sure some looked at Khan-Salita in similar terms. Best ignored in my view.
