If it sounds silly to be accurate I guess. I like fighters that take the sport and themselves seriously, and give their best. If you guys like Fat Cokeheads that dress as Batman go for it.

If Fury is able to beat Wilder or AJ or hell even Povetkin or Ortiz for that matter I'll give him a lot of credit for getting quality wins after I'd written him off.

I don't see it happening though.

I expect a close fight that could go either way the longer it lasts. But I think Wilder will try to catch Fury in the early rounds before he gets warmed up.

Even though it was much earlier in his career, the times that Fury got knocked down it was always in the early rounds. Granted, Tyson wasnt badly hurt either time but neither of the guys who dropped him hit as hard as Wilder does.

wilder tends to heat up more later on himself, since fighting for a title most of his fights tend to go around 8 rounds, it would be interesting if he comes out fast, he could catch fury early but then if he doesnt will he be more tired then usual later on?

Wilder's only recent fight where he started really fast was the Stiverne rematch. Maybe the reason he threw caution to the winds in that one is because he knew he could outbox the Haitian again if necessary, since he had already done it once. I could see Deontay not wanting to take that chance with Fury, so it is more likely he will avoid that to keep from punching himself out.

But you never know...he could opt for the surprise strategy!!

Notice they're both shorter than Fury too. This is why I think Povetkin is so dangerous for Fury. He seems to get hit with shorter than taller guys. He handled Klitschko who hits harder than Wilder well.

I give Fury credit for his willingness to challenge Wilder in the US. Joshua used to talk a lot about wanting to fight in the US but once negotiations began with Wilder he seemed to lose interest in fighting Deontay here in the States.

I voted Fury way KO, but it's more probably Fury way decision. The elusive skills of Fury will make the difference. Plus, Fury got pretty heavy hands, so, i don't exclude a KO in the final rounds. Obviously, Wilder is a dangerous fighter with a powerfull and fast right hand, but it's still not enough to beat Fury.

If it happens this year Wilder wins by clean knockout or stoppage, maybe in as little as three rounds. Tyson needs concentration and lightning reflexes to avoid Wilder's right hand for twelve rounds, and you don't get those qualities from impressive weight loss and beating up mannequins.

Next year with the right fights, getting progressively more taxing, it's a different story ... maybe.

Always assuming Wilder still wants the fight in those circumstances of course.

Fury looked way better than against Seferi, but I still think he looked a bit off, and the difference would count at the top level. And he has little room for error against Wilder. I think Wilder will probably win (by KO obviously), though I wouldn't be totally shocked if Fury can pull it off.

It's funny I think Wilder more likeable, but in my heart, I hope Fury wins.

I think it is a pick 'em fight. Fury is very hard to hit square. Boxes about as good as any 6.9 guy could. Wilder has that strong right hand. Using Cunningham knocking down Fury doesn't work. Wilder's early opponents were so week and yet he was dropped by Sconiers and rocked apparently by Nichols (club fighters at best). Both of those videos have funny enough been taken off the internet. I do give credit for surviving and then stopping Ortiz. That was certainly a big win. Same way Fury beating Klitscho was huge. Fury's two wins of Chisora by far are above anything else Wilder has ever accomplished. Most padded pre-title record I can think of. Respect to both men for taking the fight. Should be be fun. Think Lennox said to the affect Fury's boxing ability makes him a tough night for either Joshua or Wilder. I also don't believe Joshua is scared in the least. He fought a much much tougher path to the title than Wilder. This makes the winner of this fight versus Joshua massive. And, while getting older Povetnkin is no joke either. Fun four way tourney if it all goes down.....

I didn't see the Sconiers one, but I saw the knockdown against the fat guy Nichols. Didn't seem like he was hurt as much as thrown off balance by the fat guy's weight. Fury went down hard against Cunningham though, and Wilder hits WAYYY harder than that.

Sconiers had Wilder's legs going in two directions at once & he kinda Bambi'd around for a bit & then collapsed. It wasn't a flash knockdown & he took at least a round to get over it IIRC.

Of course, if Wilder does land, it's goodnight, sweet prince. But Deontay was deep in the shite vs Sconiers.
