They have made match room look like a right bunch of lemons, "yeah we had a chat and made the deal"
Re: Deontay Wilder vs. Tyson Fury - TBC
The heavyweight spotlight has moved away from AJ now. This is THE heavyweight fight. AJ will want to meet the winner and show that he is actually the main man at heavyweight. We (the fans) are the winners here. Excellent.

Kinda makes AJ a little irrelevant at this point.Nightmare Roy wrote: ↑19 Aug 2018, 07:50 They have made match room look like a right bunch of lemons, "yeah we had a chat and made the deal"![]()

Hardly anyone talking about AJ-Povsamwbr wrote: ↑19 Aug 2018, 08:13He's got 4 beltsRuthless-RKO wrote: ↑19 Aug 2018, 08:12Kinda makes AJ a little irrelevant at this point.Nightmare Roy wrote: ↑19 Aug 2018, 07:50 They have made match room look like a right bunch of lemons, "yeah we had a chat and made the deal"![]()

Sells 80k tickets every fight, will deal with Povetkin and then be in a super fight next year. If that's irrelevant then wow.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑19 Aug 2018, 08:19Hardly anyone talking about AJ-Pov
Re: Deontay Wilder vs. Tyson Fury - TBC
You’re both right, that’s the point. The heavyweight division is open now, there is no obvious leader. How can AJ not meet the winner of this fight. No more - he said this, we said that etc. We‘re going to see proper action at last.

They gonna have to pay the winner 50/50 now though I reckon, if they don't it'll look like another duck.
Re: Deontay Wilder vs. Tyson Fury - TBC
The rounds Fury has got under his belt will have done him a world of good, a 2 round impressive blow out would have done nothing for him.

If he doesn't get clipped it could be 120-108 to Fury, however it's a big IF.

As fans isn't that's all we want surely.Noxy wrote: ↑19 Aug 2018, 08:27You’re both right, that’s the point. The heavyweight division is open now, there is no obvious leader. Re: Deontay Wilder vs. Tyson Fury - TBC
Fury by decision. He dropped all rust away against Seferi. He looked not so convincing then, but 2 months were enough to finally regain his shape. Fury looked fit against Pianeta. He in his weight now. And Tyson will definitely fix the remained details in the preparation to Wilder. So I believe, that Fury will be ready for Wilder. They both are big, Wilder is awkward, but Fury is not just awkward, he's special. Wilder is a bigger puncher obviously and his main strength is an ability to time right hand. But Fury has speed, intelligence and elusiveness to avoid it. Fury is to outbox Wilder.

People seem to be discounting the possibility that this fight doesn't happen.
It will hardly be the first time.

Wilder's simply not gonna win rounds if Fury can keep up the level of movement & workrate he showed last night. Also, I doubt Fury gets up if he takes one of those right hands flush on the chin.

Re: Deontay Wilder vs. Tyson Fury - TBC
I'm a bit surprised so many are picking Fury here his main advantage over other heavyweights is his size and mobility but wilder is nearly as tall and faster and of course he has real power.i think it's to early for Fury and he'd get KO'd it could be early it could be late but wilder will land at some point.
Re: Deontay Wilder vs. Tyson Fury - TBC
Fury looked poor last night. He was in against a plodder and should have been blasting bombs on him till he dropped, can anyone imagine that bloke going 12 with Lewis, Tyson or Holyfield?
If the Fury who fought Klit turned up, i'd back him, but i have serious doubts he is back at that level. He may have jumped into this too quick and could end up getting drilled by Wilder.
As it stands now, i'm going Wilder KO inside 6 rounds.
O may change my opinion in the run up to the fight

The thing is, I thought Wilder was absolutely evens for nine or ten rounds (can't remember how long it lasted off the top of my head)P with Szpilka (sp?), & all he did was move his head & keep jabbing. & Szpilka's utter dogshite.paddy chavez wrote: ↑19 Aug 2018, 11:11 I'm a bit surprised so many are picking Fury here his main advantage over other heavyweights is his size and mobility but wilder is nearly as tall and faster and of course he has real power.i think it's to early for Fury and he'd get KO'd it could be early it could be late but wilder will land at some point.
He was also getting clearly outboxed by the big American football player Washington until he lowered the boom.
It's not so far-fetched to see such an inept fella simply not know what to do against a mobile guy with a bit of nous who keeps pecking & poking him & then getting out of the way. It's Wilder's terrible technique that makes it seem even, & the fact that Fury seems to still have his wheels.
Like I've said, I wouldn't bet on it unless the odds are silly, but it doesn't require too much imagination to see Deontay swing & miss for twelve rounds.

It's a good job Fury might not have to fight Lewis, Tyson or Holyfield soon then, innit mate?
