3 weeks later and still no announcement. In fact the silence is deafening.

November 17th is said to be the date they are working towards. That is only about 12 weeks away.

Think you'll find the wait, wait, wait is about the weight, weight, weight.

Glenn Rushton says Mundine agreed to a 70kg weight limit at the start of negotiations but has since reneged :

“We are not budging on the 70kg limit. Anthony agreed to that at the start of negotiations before changing his mind. But we are staying firm. Jeff is already coming up from 66kg so he is giving away a lot of size to start with".

Emaid Dib says the venue and weight are the remaining negotiation points in the way of the fight being made official.

Time they pulled the finger out and got this finalized. If it drags on much monger Lonergan will need to start formulating a fall back plan. Assuming he isn't already.

Mundine still playing ducks and drakes with the fight contact over weight issues:

Of course it will all be kosher if Mundine can use his bathroom scales to declare "weights right".

The fight is a step closer, with agreement that the magic number will be 71kg.

Team Horn plainly don't trust Mundine sticking to it though.

I know Anthony is not easy to love but he was a world rated fighter for a long time. I am looking forward to this one, The press conference the build up etc. Will probably go to the pub to watch it.
As for Horn he should win it but you have to hit Mundine with a stick to make him quit.
Horn late stoppage or wide decision IMO.
Hope the undercard is well matched #NoRugbyPlayers

He shouldn't have to make him quit, the Mundine corner should pull him out if it's not competitive.
Once he's inside those ropes Anthony is too game for his own good.

Jeff Horn and Anthony Mundine have reached agreement for their fight on November 30th.

A 71kg weight limit will apply and Mundine to pay more than a $1 million in penalties if he is more than 2kg above that weight at the official weigh-in.

Horn will wear Everlast Powerlock gloves and Mundine Grant gloves.

Mundine has to weigh in two hours before the fight and can’t be over 75 kgs.

Any chance of a Mundine victory here or is this just his last milking of the Aussie public?

The public fueled by Mundine's heel persona for the last 18 years has always been his milch cow, and this, his last hurrah is no different!
