I know he is only 28, and I know he has achieved a lot.

But it almost feels like it is wasted potential with Eubank Jr.

With the platform he has, the 'knowledge' he could gain from his dad, and the fantastic fitness levels he obviously he has he could have been/could be something very special.

Oh, that was not my intention
Nope. Boxer is not quite how I would describe him. Courageous, entertaining, an almost disturbing self belief, and with a fanatical dedication to training is more how I see him.
I do think he has the potential to be a good boxer. If he dedicated the same ethic he does to training into learning the basics of defence and movement- I think he has the potential to be around top #5 at MW. Still pretty young, who knows

I thought Jr was awful against Groves, other than showing plenty of heart.

His footwork and range finding we're both dreadful. At his age, I think it's too late to learn these basics, especially for someone that doesn't utilise a coach. He might have one or two more biggish fights, due to his name, but I don't expect him to rise above B level at any point.

If his dad wasn't his dad, and he didnt talk bigger than he fights, we'd be happy to watch him, British/European level and theres no shame in that at all. But part of what drives him to compete also drives his mouth so you cant have one without the other.

We had this thread a week ago. He’s likely gonna be fighting in Jeddah. He’s the reserve fighter for the final. I just hope he fights someone decent. Then fück off back to MW.. there may not be domestic fights out there but some big fights still.

I don't think he would. He's already demonstrated that he himself isn't prepared to listen and adjust, it can't all be pinned on his father.
