Jamie Cox - Now MW & New Trainer?

Post by horndawg80 »

I saw on IFL that Jamie will be fighting at 160lbs - I get the impression Eddie said look try 160lb, you can have a Midlands love triangle with Welborn and Langford and I'm not putting you in at 168lbs anymore?!

Saw on Twitter that he is training in Wales under Borg. @John C - are you and Jamie still together or have you reached an amicable split? Someone's Twitter feed kind of eluded to that.

Jamie is one of my fav fighters to watch.

Makes sense, his goose was more or less cooked at SMW.

Cox never looked like a SMW, although don’t blame him for giving it a go.

Could try light middle, but if he has opportunities at middle.
I guess even at super middle he got the Groves fight which while he was out of his depth, it was a nice payday.

Some good fights for him at middleweight. He should be looking at the British title after a fight or two.

I just hope he chooses to go that route and not a dodgy inter-title/back door to a big payday type route.

Brian Rose returning at middle, wouldn’t mind seeing that. They had some “twitter beef” awhile back and should have fought when rose was British cox commonwealth at light middle

He looked tiny at SMW v groves. I know George is a big SMW but he seemed to just look massive in comparison

If he can retain hs strenght , and don't see why he should'nt , he could make a decent splash at the weight

ya or he could just lose as soon as he faces good mws who punch back, as was the case at smw. and john ryder was hardly a big guy and he destroyed cox.

Hopefully he does move down a weight or 2. He's certainly too small to be a SMW.

Although he may not be the greatest I've found him entertaining when watching him fight so good luck to him.
