Breazeale willing to fight Whyte
Re: Breazeale willing to fight Whyte
It'd be a very good fight between contenders. Whyte honestly has just about earned another title shot with what he's done already, if he were to defeat Breazeale he'd definitely deserve a crack at one of the titles without question.
Re: Breazeale willing to fight Whyte
Just talks as far as I know, but it's a nice little earner and both these guys don't piss their pants at the prospect of facing a fellow tough-guy.
You can bet Dom won't leave Eddie's signed contract to gather dust on the sideboard, and he won't be describing offers of several times what he has earned before*, as a complete joke unlike a certain pair of pricks I can think of.
I can see this might well fly.
* title challenge excepted.
Re: Breazeale willing to fight Whyte
Breazeale won't duck Whyte his talent is dwarfed by his enormous cojones.
You still banging the drum for Tyrone Spong. It seems to me he needs to decide whether he's a boxer or a MMArtist and stick to it. The clock is ticking.
Actually I think he slept through the alarm and the ticking has stopped. He's not doing anything in boxing now.

The worst thing is he's fought better opposition ... but not much better.Gnome wrote: ↑31 Aug 2018, 15:59Take that back! He fought this bloke only last year!candyslim wrote: ↑31 Aug 2018, 15:57

Re: Breazeale willing to fight Whyte
Sponge (looks like in constant violent roid rage on his portrait-fotos to me or maybe just a few agonizing winds working their way through) getting a shot at top 10 Breazeale if he makes fast work of an obscure colombian cruiserweight who in his only 2 bouts in the last 2 years got knocked out in under 2 minutes? please! get it done! Brilliant! Make it happen! Let him work his way up the ranks, climbing like a slave, going places! But do not forget to remind him to take out his nipple ring before the fight, if that thing get's torn of, it hurts bad and bleeds a lot, even in sparring
Re: Breazeale willing to fight Whyte
Can you really blame us? I know shite about MMA it's not for me, but Spong's MMA accomplishments mean dick in boxing. Breazeale wouldn't be reluctant to fight him if he were relevant in the division but he has done diddly-squat and shows no signs that's going to change.
Joe Joyce has achieved more in the short time he's been a pro. If Spong is serious, he should fight someone that we've at least heard of and that doesn't mean a rematch with David Gogoshvili ffs !

Re: Breazeale willing to fight Whyte
I'm not arguing but that doesn't explain your continuing to believe in Tyrone Spong as a boxer when he clearly has no ambitions in that direction.
Re: Breazeale willing to fight Whyte
He's a kickboxer, not mixed martial artist.candyslim wrote: ↑01 Sep 2018, 03:59 Can you really blame us? I know shite about MMA it's not for me, but Spong's MMA accomplishments mean dick in boxing. Astradamas is clearly a bias fan, but it's hard to tell how good Spong is until he gets some better matchups. He's is clearly head and shoulders above his current opposition but that doesn't mean he could beat Breazeale. I think he could crack the top 50 before getting a tough challenge but what he does from there, who knows. It's hard to tell if he'd fall flat on his face or improve and move up further.
He's ranked in WBO, i honestly think he could challenge some of the others ranked there. Schwarz is ranked at 3 for god's sake. His management should be looking at that route because Schwarz and even more so Tetteh are beatable. Fujimoto v Spong would sell well in Japan aswell with their kickboxing history - Spong won by decision in a competitive 3 round fight in 2009.
Re: Breazeale willing to fight Whyte
Kickboxer, MMA same meat, different gravy as far as I'm concerned. I agree he could be, or at least could have been, a heavyweight boxer of good quality - just how good we won't ever know - but he's shown no inclination and unless that changes dramatically and immediately, he has left it too late.

Re: Breazeale willing to fight Whyte
Great fight to be made. Winner gets a chance vs Deontay Wilder since both were stopped by AJ.

Re: Breazeale willing to fight Whyte
I wouldn't put any money on Dillian Whyte getting a shot at Wilder if he wins. He'll probably get another 'chance' to face Luis Ortiz.
Wilder/Haymon seem to regard him as too big a risk, and Sulaiman won't take a dump without the ok from Al.

Re: Breazeale willing to fight Whyte
Breazeale vs Sponge would be a royal waste of time.
Given that Breazeale is hyped like a top 10 fighter and has accomplished squat other than a dubious win over Mansour who bit through his tongue while fighting without a lower mouth guard, I'd like Breazeale to fight a well-proven opponent in the #10-15 ballpark like Chisora, Parker, Hammer, Jennings, or possibly Kabayel or Hughie. Sponge has not definitively proven himself to be a cut above Molina, Mansour, and Ugonoh; so a win over him proves nothing about Breazeale that hasn't already been proven.
Sponge (I might call him Spong when he cracks the boxrec top 30; whenever that may be), has not even fought a true journeyman yet. He needs to hurry up and fight someone like Malcolm Tann, Scott Alexander, or Daniel Martz. At least do that much, and then move on to Joey Dawejko, and then Andrey Fedosov. If he can do all of that, and he thinks he's ready for Breazeale, then he's high, and he's still not ready. So then after that, he can fight Dimitrenko or Washington. If he wins all of those fights, then he's finally done the minimum necessary to share the ring with Breazeale.

Re: Breazeale willing to fight Whyte
if spong beat dawjeko, fedosov, and washington hed have done well more then the minimum to justify being in the same ring as breazeale. in that case hed easily be near the top 10 himself.
but seems doubtful hed ever fight a trio that strong, let alone beat all of them
