He's the same nationality as you so he must be better. Velez has fought real opponents and has better wins on his ledger than Morales. He's not what he was but Morales has never beaten anyone worth a spit and got beaten handily by the one real opponent on his resume and is getting beaten handily again tonight. Great learning experience for Garcia. Morales is tough and has a solid chin. Good choice by GBP, but now Morales looks like he could end this thing early!!

For the record I dont think Garcia is even any good. He has no power at all. Maybe it will develop but he would get run over by Gervonta Davis right now. He needs many many more fights. His defense is crap because he thinks he's too slick. Against top opponents they'll lay him out.

Velez has fought better competition overall, but he gets no credit for being non-competitive against most. He also lost to gatekeepers like Gradovich and Alvarado. Also, look at their respective performances against Garcia. They're not on the same level at this point in their career. Morales is the better fighter. This is a step up, and you can see it by how Garcia is not looking great.

Nothing really interesting about Garcia. Decent pop but can’t take what he dishes out. Stamina issues in a hardly gruelling fight. Leaves his chin in the air when throwing. Not impressed.

Absolutely!! Although Garcia said before this fight that he want Gervonta Davis next, the fact that he got so stunned so much by Morales shows he's not ready for Davis just yet.

It's still early in Garcia's career. He was put in pretty tough after having fought bums and with only a real test against a past-prime Velez. He does need to develop more, though. I really think this is a case where moving up might help in the stamina department.
