Golovkin looks built like a sovietic tank! If Canelo succeeds to drop, stop or even hurt GGG I'll be pretty impressed!

Also I saw an improvement for GGG in terms of speed and throwing combos. Canelo will have to put an impressive performance to beat GGG. :box:

He may not have those shredded 6 pack abs but he looks like he's made of steel. :OhYes:

People liking GGG mostly because of his power and KOs, but his jab is currently one of the best in sport. Alvarez and Jacobs was eating those jabs all night long and that is something what won these fights for GGG.

Golovkin always had an elite jab. Can someone point me to a fight where Golovkin didn't thoroughly control the ring? Guy's pressure tactics are impressive.

For those who thought he beat Jacobs, they mainly cite Golovkin's jab.

That last video above was just trick photography to make GGG and his jab appear much more dominant than it really was - and i think GGG is great, but i also like Canelo. Here are highlights from the actual fight, not spliced together loops:

Which one of the two do you think is more likely to get stopped? Not even just by each other, but ever, throughout their careers?

It wasn't meant as trick photography. It's just reviewing Golovkin's elite jab. Not sure what you're making out of it. Canelo is an elite fighter too, but Golovkin has the superior jab. Watch your highlights and see how many times Canleo is pushed to the ropes.

The bottom line is both have great chins but as individuals GGG has that fighting spirit in him , he's a real dog. On the other hand Canelo is more of a cagey-wait and counter type of fighter, more of a boxer. Normally the fighters with better boxing skills are doing better in rematches and also let's not forget that age is a big factor too.

What I saw as very effective punches at GGG were the jab, the 1-2 combo and the right cross. :box:

Only if GGG will pump his power jab to Canelo's midsection.... :OhYes:

In any boxing rematch that I can remember in history, one fighter performs better than they previously did in the first fight. Also, someone performs worse than they did previously. Rematches are so much different than the original fight.

So the question really should be "Which fighter will perform better than they did in the first one?"

My answer would be GGG. Canelo had to run in this fight in order to finish on his feet. He didn't necessarily "run" but he did disengage for preservation in the first fight. I think that he's heard enough about it and will challenge GGG toe to toe and unless GGG's totally lost it, I see him stopping Canelo will TKO late in the fight. Either from the corner or referee, they will need to save Canelo from himself.

Well yes but let's hope GGG didn't age badly. I have a weird feeling about this rematch.

I don't dispute the greatness of GGG and his jab, but the editing in that video made it look like a Bugs Bunny cartoon fight. GGG is great enough not to need any artificial enhancement, and, as you said, Canelo is also an elite fighter. This should be a most excellent fight. I'm looking forward to it. I don't, however, see the resemblance between Golovkin and a Soviet era tank. The tanks were much heavier than Golovkin. They'd be in a different weight class entirely.
