I've changed the title and added a poll now we know it's Lemieux Vs Spike.

Signed for another fight with Golden Boy in September.
Obviously it isn't GGG or Alvaroid.
BJS and DeGale seem out of the mix if they fight each other.
Big announcement coming at some stage.
Lemieux?
Suleki?
Murray?
Hopefully Lemieux :TU:

The Golden Boy link would suggest it'll be Lemieux. He'll probably be outgunned but he'll make it entertaining while it lasts. Didn't Lemieux miss weight last time? Maybe he's there for the taking.

Lemieux can only make 163 pounds safely. The extra few pounds can be difficult..

Yeah, that's why I mentioned Lemieux, also because I think either Lemieux or Murray would make a good fight to watch. I don't think Lemieux can afford to go up in weight, he is too small for SMW and would get creamed.

Only a couple of weeks away. Sept 15th
I'm more into this fight than the main event :box:
I'm backing Spike for the decision, not confidently mind.

anyone have an idea of spikes chin, he hasnt really fought 1 puncher in his whole career . also did he quit vs eubank?

there both pretty limited sluggers and spike got schooled just as badly by bjs. spike isnt as wild as lem but i dont think he hits quite as hard either. its a good pairing for sure, should be fun, can see either winning

Yeah. Spike seems like a good bloke, but he's fought two world class guys and been trounced both times. Unless Lemieux struggles with the weight, I'd have to think that he's going to blast Spike out of there around the middle rounds.

Paschal Collins called it off, he was getting walloped by Eubank. He then said his ear had gone.

I think junior is very heavy handed like his dad, and he was catching Spike flush repeatedly all night, and the Irishman took it well.

I’d say his chin is excellent.

But the Canadian is a lights out hitter, and Spike has zero defence so could be a brutal stoppage ...that said, Spike has a serious punch on him too..

Basically two hard hitters with excellent chins, but the Canadian punches on another level.

See it being a similar fight to Lemieux v Curtis Stephens: fun for a few rounds, with the fighter sporting the better chin (Lemieux) prevailing.

Well, it seems 90% of the forum think Lemmy is gonna KO Spike.
I think one of them is getting knocked out. I'd like it to be Lemieux... The power of positive thinking.

I think Lemieux will stop Spike. Eubank Jr who doesnt punch has hard as Lemieux battered him into submission so expect a similar outcome here.

Spikes a weird character, but Lemieux comes across as a real prick too. I know Spike is an abrasive sort, but wondered why he was going OTT in the press conference, saying DL was shitting himself and a greaseball...

And i see it’s cause Lemieux brought up the fact that Spike was convicted of punching his ex wife nine years ago...ouch

Later quashed says Wikipedia......

This fight is definitely going to be X-rated

Yeah. GGG vs Canelo 2 is the marquee match of the night, but I wouldn't doubt at all that this one will steal the show as far as all out violence goes.

He was trying to be Con McGregor.
