2016 British Olympian Joe Joyce battles Iago Kiladze in an eight-round heavyweight attraction in Premier Boxing Champions on FS1 and FOX Deportes action Sunday, September 30 from Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario, California.

The telecast begins at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT and will also see 2016 U.S. Olympian Karlos Balderas (6-0, 5 KOs) continue his rise in the lightweight ranks in a six-round match and 2016 Nigerian Olympian Efe Ajagba (6-0, 5 KOs) returning to the ring in a six-round heavyweight fight. Sensational super welterweight prospect Joey Spencer (4-0, 4 KOs) steps in for his fifth fight this year in a four-round bout.

A 6-foot-6 heavyweight, Joyce (5-0, 5 KOs) won the silver medal in the 2016 Rio Olympic Games as a super heavyweight from Great Britain. The 32-year-old from London turned pro in 2017 and has been on a knockout roll since. Joyce, whose nickname is 'Juggernaut,' has ended four of his five fights inside of two rounds. He scored a first-round KO victory over Ivica Bacurin in his last fight on June 15.

Kiladze (26-3, 18 KOs) is an experienced veteran who will test Joyce early in his young career. The 32-year-old out of Ukraine who now lives in Los Angeles and will be looking to rebound from back-to-back losses to Michael Hunter and Adam Kownacki. Before those losses he had put together a six-match win streak.

Yeah, in this sense the bout can be valuable, Joyce can enter new stage spectacularly.

I can understand Dubois fighting bums because he is young. But Joyce needs to step up!

kiladzes nothing impressive but not really a bum, i mean ppl rate kownacki top 10 or so and he gave him a hell of a fight. kiladzes not really a bad opponent for joyce at this stage, and i think this is a showcase us debut fight, but joyce should look to step it up to a more recognizable opponent soon though

i think signing with haymon well prob see him in with those type of guys soon. could see him fighting someone like gerald washington next year

I agree with all of that. I think he has said he's planning for a big name towards the end of the year but i have my doubts how big that name will be. Would like to see him against the likes of Duhaupas or Hammer rather than Washington/Molina/Arreola if he wants to make a statement.

i like that, imo thats pretty much who i wouldve chosen for joyce to step up against next. washingtons a big guy who can box and move decently well early on, and he won i thought 3 or 4 rounds vs wilder. but imo its someone i think joyce should heat up to beat if hes as good as i think and good enough to be a real contender.

there was vague talk of guys like ortiz but imo that wouldve been too much too soon

Enjoyed this fight and good progression for Joyce. Kiladze posed some problems and was spirited until Joe really got on top.

It's been said a 100 times but for a huge heavyweight Joyce can really keep the punches coming.

He IS painfully slow. He always looks like he's punching thru' treacle. He plods, looks wooden - everything the critics say is true BUT he's still a decent contender.
The ATG heavies would make SUCH easy meat out of him.
Lennox was scared of big men that could punch and knocked them out quickly. KO2 a la Michael Grant. Ali would do a Tesco Value Rumble in The Jungle on him, Holmes would jab him silly for six rounds then take him out his leisure etc. etc.
Even a peak Fury would give him a 120-108 lesson with ease.

But, he's so good at making fights about his strengths and minimising his weaknesses, that anything much below that level, I reckon The Juggernaut runs them over.

Yeah can't disagree there mate. Outside the top 6/7 he'd most likely give most of the others a right good go. His footwork and balance is very good, excellent work rate and power. Slow and looks easy to hit though. Looking forward to seeing him being stepped up right enough. Looks like he could be in some exciting fights. It's a pity they couldn't make the Chisora fight. I'd have liked to have seen that.
