Isaac Chamberlain vs. Luke Watkins - 27 October 2018
They both put in disappointing performances against British starlet Lawrence Okolie, now Isaac Chamberlain (9-1, 4 KOs) and Luke ‘The Duke’ Watkins look set to square off against one another in a crunch cruiserweight contest next month.
Chamberlain and Watkins are being lined up to fight for the vacant Commonwealth cruiserweight title, recently dropped by Okolie, on October 27 at the Copper Box, London on a Matchroom Boxing promotion filled with intriguing domestic dust-ups.
“All I know at this point is we’ve agreed and signed off for Duke to fight him. Eddie [Hearn] said he wanted it Oct 27,” said Watkins’ trainer Paddy Fitzpatrick answering a question about Chamberlain on Twitter.
A tweet that was swiftly responded to by Chamberlain, now trained by Jorge Rubio, who replied by saying “I’ve agreed and signed two weeks ago. See you soon.”
The fight certainly provides an opportunity at redemption for both men and to show that they are still a force to be reckoned with at domestic level in Britain.

Watkins is pony. Chamberlain (although looked dreadful against Okolie) is no mug. I think he will win wide on the cards but I wouldn't be surprised if he stops Watkins

Chamberlain is not KO’ing Watkins. I doubt it. I hope so. But I think it will be a UD.
Also Watkins isn’t as bad as Okolie made him out to be..

i thought watkins looked poor in the 2 fights i saw of him before okolie. very crude and lumbering and easy to hit by mediocre opponents

Appreciate the above was posted in early Sept, so this is an update rather than a correction. Wadi Camacho is facing Arfan Iqbal on 17 November at the York Hall for the vacant Commonwealth title. Probably why the poster above lists Chamberlain v Watkins as a "Cruiserweight Contest".Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑05 Sep 2018, 13:19 Chamberlain and Watkins are being lined up to fight for the vacant Commonwealth cruiserweight title,

Cheers mate. Haven’t Iqbal and Camacho fought before? Was it Valily who Iqbal drew against?olij999 wrote: ↑16 Oct 2018, 07:26Appreciate the above was posted in early Sept, so this is an update rather than a correction. Should be a good undercard fight hopefully. Where’s HandsOfStone? Not giving this fight a breakdown?
