Fuckin beauty. Deffo be attending that. Hopefully Lee McGregor is on the card and is stepped up a bit. He's one to watch as well.

Had to be at the Hydro.
Martin can't put as many bums on seats in his room as Taylor can in his.

And who voted Taylor decision?

Was at Frampton Donaire in April. Wee cùnt will think I'm stalking him  Good to see a fighter of his calibre over here though even if he's past his best. I find Burnett a bit of a hard watch at times. Be interesting to see if Donaire can make banatam ok.

depends how martin is under pressure, some guys can shell up well enough to go the distance even if they lose widely.

granted i only saw martin once, but based on that he doesnt seem much of a threat to win....at least, its hard to watch that fight and say he showed much to be a threat. but in survival mode, if he takes that, who knows...maybe he can last.

It's not a Cyclone card so he might not get on Stu. It seems he's fighting for the Commonwealth title against Thomas Essomba in October on a Cyclone show with Bakole and Cameron (although, confusingly, Boxrec also lists Iain Butcher vs Essomba for the very same title this month).

I saw Butcher v Essomba on the listings mate. Butcher already beat him a while back didn't he? Wouldn't mind seeing McGregor v Butcher. I'd heard on the Asylum podcast that McGregor was meant to be fighting for the Commonwealth.

Hopefully Cyclone can manage to get him on the card in front of his home fans...

Yeah, Butcher did beat him a couple of years ago- I think they were supposed to fight at Fly but Butcher missed the weight (might be wrong).

A couple of fellow Scots (Jamie Wilson and Ukashir Farooq) are fighting for the vacant British belt soon, so could be bigish fight there for McGregor, who seems a real prospect.

I hadn't realised the two of them were fighting for the vacant belt bud. Good for them. Any chance of that being on tv somewhere?

I'd say very unlikely mate - its a sporting club show with no other bouts listed. It's a shame when British title fights don't get coverage, but it was largely the same when Josh Wale had the belt.

Yeah, the black tie shows have never appealed to me. I'd be craving some Sweet Caroline (Eddie-style) or some 90s dance (Frank) after a while!

Ryan Martin is a good fighter. This isnt an easy night for Taylor.Yes Martin is moving up from 135 but he was always a big lightweight.

I think Taylor will win but Martin isnt in this just to make up the numbers, hes got genuine talent.

Darryl Williams vs Zach Parker for the vacant British super middleweight title has been added to this. Good stuff.

Is there something I/we don't know about Martin?
Im reading boxing journos ( albiet American) saying Martin has got this :maybe:
I admit I don't know squat about him other than his Am and pro record, going by that, well, it isn't game changing.
Anyone else rate Martin to win, and why?
