We try to avoid "Jr" in a name whenever possible. Also, signs like a full stop in a fighter's name used to collide with system software, although, with the update to v4, I don't know if this is still the case.

I don't think this is a situation where you can avoid updating his name. If you leave it at Jose Benavidez, this causes confusion with his father who is a trainer with the same name. He is credited as Jose Benavidez Jr throughout the internet.
