Sky coverage just started. Feels like months since there was boxing on regular Sky.

Tell me about it.

When was last time?

We had JDNXTGEN in August. Before that Whyte-Parker?

Thinking of making a cheeky bet on Vargas, Khan looking pretty soft...

Yeah I thought it was the correct stoppage, but the ref made the call too early (if that makes sense).

It does.
I know exactly what he means. It's like Froch vs Groves....
9 times / 10 Morris (Groves) was done and the ref was right, but that's "reasonable" doubt.
He shoulda at least counted him and looked then.

Don Logan made a bit of a boob there, refs these days are too quick to wave fights off without a count, you could understand if Morris was lying out cold on the canvas but.....

In saying that I don't think Morris would've recovered after a count, that left hook very nearly took his head clean off his shoulders, a bit meh from Fitzgerald, definitely faded in the 2nd half, a bit of a smash and grab, I reckon Fowler will walk through him

Fair enough. To put it another way, I thought it was the correct stoppage, but the ref made the call too early.

well i understand sort of there, but i personally would say in cases like froch groves its not actually the correct stoppage if it shouldnt have been stopped then

basically to me it sounds like a fringe stoppage where you can sort of argue either way

I thought his eyes were clear (even if his head had bounced around like a speedball when the left hook landed) and he fully deserved a count. There was less than a minute left and he may well have survived to the final bell given the additional 8 seconds to recover.
