If Porter landed more then the punch stats favor him.
Im talking about %'s. Landed were practically dead even. He was much more efficient but judges have a tough time scoring that almost always.
More efficient perhaps, but in rounds where all things are basically even scoring it for the guy that's fighting harder is perfectly reasonable IMO.

Steve Farhood had it a draw too. I expected we'd get at least 1 draw card in there. Kinda surprised it was Unanimous given how close it was, but the scores were still on the money I thought.

Just chalk that up with the other things we disagree on.
I don't recall what those are, but alright
It was a close fight. Thought Garcia landed the cleaner and harder shots. Things we disagree on are Tyson fury and Jeff horns win over pac :D
Oh alright. I'm perfectly fine with going against the grain on people that like Tyson Fury

And Pac beat Jeff Horn pretty clearly. Anywhere else on the planet he'd have gotten that decision, but let's not dig up ancient history

Cards were acceptable. I bet Porter so Im good with it but I was expecting a draw because I felt Garcia was more efficient.

I’m just going to laugh that off because most of true time you’re alright.

If they had a rematch I could easily see a draw or Garcia winning a close one. I expect it'd be close every time these two fought, and could go either way almost always.

Spence vs Porter looks like it'll be next though. Which is great. It's high time Spence gets in the mix with the big names in the division.

Most of true time?

I think that was a typo, but it's an amusing one.

I guess, the rematch would have been close indeed, but still in Porter's favour. Garcia looked like he was out of ideas against this opponent.

And Spence-Porter will be great. Porter is a true test for Spence.

The thing is, Porter is an improving fighter. He was better today, than he was against Thurman and Brook, for example. He can become even better for Spence. And Spence, on the one hand, is fresher, on the other hand, can lack experience of fights against such a high level of opposition. So it's not clear, how this fight can go.

I'm confident that Spence will beat him personally, but I have no doubt that Porter will give him problems. Like I said he's no cakewalk for anybody.

I probably favour Spence too, but I'm not very sure. Maybe I'm under the impression of today's Porter.

Very surprised at the poll on this site. I knew Porter would win this fight. Only thing I'm surprised by is that Danny made it close and competitive. I thought Porter won it close but clear, though. The rounds Porter won he won in dominant fashion. The ones Danny won were ones that could've gone either way.

If there was ever any doubt as to whether or not I score fights in an unbiased manner. I picked Garcia to win via a close decision, and this was CLEARLY a fight that you could've scored for Garcia if you WANTED to. I never score fights that way though. I score 'em the way I see 'em. Even if it goes against my pick.

The integrity of the sport is more important than me being right.

I thought, that either Garcia would win very close or Porter would win very close, but would get robbed. In the result Porter won close, but not that close I predicted, and judges surprisingly scored well.

I've never rated Garcia and made a nice earner betting Porter who the bookies had underdog.

Outjabbed Garcia. Landed punches in bunches. Faster hands. Garcia was visibly rocked a couple of times.

I will say that Garcia's technique and timing on his hooks is beautiful, but at this level you need more than that. He's a 1 dimensional fighter. Maybe if he got rid of his clown shoe if a father he could have amounted to more.

Last thoughts on this. If Garcia had a consistent jab. The fastest and least energy intensive punch he would be much improved imo.

Atrocious scorecards.

Boxing continues to bow down to The Porters. Last night they even had a ref that allowed a typical Porter wrestling match. What they allow him to do in there is not boxing. Anyone who is anyone is crazy to keep signing on to fight this sideshow mess of a fighter. I didn't see Porter land one effective, clean punch last night. Garcia hit Porter with an assortment of professional punches. All this other garbage inside that ring is unwatchable to me.

Garcia gets it in the ass again.
