Are You Buying the Golovkin - Alvarez PPV

I’m personally leaning towards not buying even though I enjoy watching both guys, the scoring of the first fight just really left a bad taste in my mouth.

same here felt a bit cheated staying up late last year, I don't think they have an option to buy the fight online to view?

Yes. In my opinion PPV is worth buying to see 2 elite fighters. These are 2 of the pound for pound best fighters in the world, with different skills and styles. Its a great fight.

This is not 2 average fighters that dislike each other. Or 2 below average fighters with a "stacked undercard".

Luckily I train at 7am myself on Sunday mornings so the days of watching boxing through the night are over for me, so I just get the missus to find a decent youtube for anything the next morning and I watch it when back from the gym. Princely sum of fck all

I'm surprised with a lot of people saying no. Each to there own but this is not your two Bob British PPV with any old fighters this is arguably the 2 best middleweights going at it with a good undercard. If you don't like to stay up and watch the fights live I completely understand but if you normally stay up and watch the boxing when it's on in the states then it's a no brainier. I been excited for this fight since it was announced

Whilst I don't think the main even will be satisfying- either GGG has slipped enough for Alvaroid to beat him properly, or another bad judging or its even more cagey, or whatever- who dosent want to see Lemieux and Spike slug it out :maybe:
I voted undecided, but it's only £17 in my country- so that isn't bad. I definitely wouldn't pay more...

Easily the best two middleweights on the planet.

This is exactly the kind of match up PPV was invented for. I’ll be buying 100%

If you turn your nose up at this yet have bought ANY PPV served up by matchroom over the past year you need your head examined :TU:

The time is a factor for me buying the PPV. All US events can easily be downloaded the next day.
Think are all guilty of buying a UK PPV of less quality because you want to watch it with friends over and dont want to run the risk of a stream going off with a house full.
Rightly or Wrongly the quality of the PPV does not determine me buying it. If everything was a level playing field i.e on at 10 on a Saturday night then it would.

Yeah of course, GGG is an all time great, and while his opponent is a drug cheating SOB, even without the add ons he’s still one of the biggest threats out there for Golovkin, so that, plus a don’t blink clash between two TNT sluggers like Spike and DL as a warm up...and I like Munguia and also Chocalito gets a run out, that’s nice viewing after what’s been a boxing drought. And it’s whats PPV is all about. Bring it on.

Compared to the unmitigated SHITE Sky and Hearn serve up, well its a slam dunk.

Hearn can get to feck with all his PPVs - they’re pure garbage and he’s not getting a penny from me.

Think I'll probably buy it and stay up for it. Might invite some of the troops round as well. My living room will be causal central

Absolutely.

Really hoping GGG smashes him to pieces. If he gets jobbed on the cards again it'd be sickening so he'll need to force the fight even more.

I wouldn't worry too much about the scoring at the end. Yes it sucked last time out and it likely will again, but we watch for the fight mostly, not the result, don't we?

Either way, having a young child and no one to watch him i the morning means I'll be watching the day after and not staying up, but would have no qualms about paying for this if I was.

That's kind of what puts me off. I am more of a morning person. Struggle to stay up to the early hours.

Also, I haven't got a pay-per-view since Froch vs Groves 2. I think it's a bit of a rip-off, and only carries on whilst people are prepared to pay for it.

May give in and buy one at some point. But it'll have to be something I'm super bothered by. And I'm not super-bothered to stay up all night.

They're showing this at this pizza tavern.
