So who wins that fight in your own opinion and why?

Right now I'd still favor Joshua because I think he's the more polished fighter, and takes a more measured approach, and is more defensively responsible...which would be a key factor when you got two guys that hit this hard.

Either guy winning is a strong possibility though certainly because they both have Lights Out power.

I completely agree with this.

Joshua takes control measuring wilder up with his superior jab, finishes him whenever he chooses to sit down on his punches. And he hurts him right away. Wilder on the backfoot right away, joshua too smart, too strong, too controlled, w. get's hit hard a few times, tries to run, of course he can't (never learned it), joshua just walks him down, steamrolls w., w. gets cut off into the ropes, awkwardly tries to cover up, of course he can't (never had to), joshua beats him up bad quickly with simple combinations, one big uppercut through the middle puts wilder out on his feet, his jaw is broken, a left hook opens a cut over his right eye, wilder insists it was a headbutt, ref steps in, gives wilder a standing 8 count, warns joshua to keep it clean, sends him to the neutral corner, orders the doctor to look at the cut, wilder looks destroyed, bewildered, helpless to his corner, response "knock him out now man!", he looses his mouthpiece, ref picks it up... bell rings, end of round one. Wilder staggers to his corner "good round champ! Now he's yours!",, they stop the bleeding, jiggle (sic!) around his broken jaw, wilder, broken, dazed & confused mumbles something like "ummpfrbdl...gmmph!", of course he can't articulate himself with a broken jaw and all the blood in his mouth. "Yeah champ!", they push him out for the second round. Sorry! Got carried away! Anyways! desperately wilder tries to open up with his monstrous but borderline spastic overhand bombs that you see coming for a mile and are easy to slip if you decide to stay calm and even easier to counter if you just keep your hands up, whereas wilder looses all control of where his chin should or shouldn't be. One ramrod joshua-jab flat on wilder's face! Good night deontay! Joshua unmarked adds the wbc belt to his collection. Wilder dissappears in obscurity or hangs em up for good! That's how i think it will happen! :box:

You can't write off Wilder, and Joshua looks vulnerable to that big right hand.

Having said that AJ won't be overconfident and will be aware of the dangers. He will be very cautious early on, they both will. In a battle of wits, a chess-match if you like, the advantages are largely with AJ. He has the better technique, a better boxing-brain and very good command of range and distance.

Wilder is the more devastating puncher but AJ hits quite hard enough to get the job done, and the skill to land first with the heavy salvo.

I've said on here several times I can see in my mind's eye, Deontay sat a canvas with a bewildered 'WTF was that?' expression on his face much as Charles Martin had. I think it will take a few rounds though, it won't be over so early.

what i dont understand is, ive seen a lot of people pick wilder, under the logic that he always gets the job done eventually, but when you have to guys with 100 percent winning ratios thats an irrelevant argument because they both have always gotten it done. and remember aj hasnt gone the distance any more times then wilder has

id favour aj, more polished and plenty hard hitting himself. the whole 'wilders so unpredictable and unorthodox!' is sooooo overrated as an advantage to wilder. his 'unorthodoxy' is just technical flaws, and hes had issues with several opponents precisely because of those. if he had speed, power, length, AND style on his opponents he wouldve won every fight easily w/o any sort of issue. you really think a guy like szpilka would be taking rounds off him if that was true?

wilder can still really hit though and throw that right long and fast, and prob better stamina then aj, so hes certainly in there with a chance, but id favour aj.

I agree. A short, straight right beats a wild wide one every day of the week. GGG learned that quick against Alvarez (he got away with it against lesser fighters). First few round Alvarez's right was beating GGG's... so GGG hand to shorten the punch, faint, throw it straighter. I don't think Wilder could make such adjustments

Both guys train hard. Jousha has power, but Wilder has even more.

The match-up would end in the favor of Wilder if it goes the full 12. Cause of his stamina, chin and Power are factor. Jousha has more skills. But then again can he stop Wilder? Maybe get a decision. Then again, a bite of 50-50 fight. Many factors and stuff that makes it great!
