GGG / Alvarez 2 PPV (Who's paying)

Post by Biglid »

I have paid for most PPV fights but will not be paying for this one. Felt cheated after the last one. You know the old saying, 'Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me' I believe it will be scored another draw no matter who actually wins the fight.

I won’t be able to watch the event live. So I won't be paying.

Nah, they can't really pull off another draw, except... yeah, you're right they are capable off getting through with any ridiculously corrupt shit we can't even fathom to imagine, so why not another draw if ggg is as dominant as the last time.πŸ€”no, they'll give it to canelo fo sure, if he doesn't get knocked out!

That's the kind of silly comment I would expect from the casuals who flock to Facebook to expound on boxing.

He is without a VERY conclusive victory. He needs 9 rounds and a knockdown or two to win a decision.

I think he will go for the stoppage and if Canelo has laid off the Mexican Stakes he might get it.

Canelo has to fight the judges, not Golovkin.

Because all the rabble rousers have convinced the commission that the judges somehow showed favoritism to Canelo, I would expect that this week's judges will go out of their way to turn in the dreaded "make up" scores.

So it's Canelo who will need 3 or 4 knockdowns to actually earn a decision.

Golovkin rooters have absolutely nothing to worry about when it comes to judging. They have that part in the bag.

Ha-ha-ha. "Judges somehow showed favoritism to Canelo". 118-110 score plus a draw with a dominant Golovkin's round 7 given to Canelo is not favoritism to Canelo?

It could actually be more complicated like threats used by somebody behind Canelo/DLH. Whatever that is, influence on judges is obvious.

Everybody knows that a more honest card would have been like 120-96 for Canelo, something in that neighborhood.

Could you offer further explanation of the implied complicated process, please?

No, I just said that there could be other parties interested in a certain result and making sure that the wanted result becomes a reality.

By the way, how much was PPV for their first fight?

I scored it for Canelo 116-112. Byrd's scorecard was wider than mine but when I heard it announced first it just convinced me that my score was pretty spot on.

I don't expect every judge to mirror my scorecard.

Did it show favortism? Yes. Byrd, a veteran of more than 400 fights and 20 years judging, favored the more effective fighter.

She credited the guy who landed the cleaner, more solid blows.

She wasn't impressed as so many were, by Golovkin merely moving forward, throwing some hesitant jabs, and wild shots.

She knows what's important in scoring a fight.

And if that's favoritism as you want to define it, then boxing would profit by having a plethora of judges like Adelaide Byrd.

It just is fact that they fixed the first fight into a draw so there was no chance a rematch would not happen. So they can milk the cash-cow a second time. The 2 judges who scored it for ggg & a draw were both paid, byrd was paid to score it in canelo's favor, she just lost it completely. Ffs! judges are paid to deliver the predetermined outcome in ALMOST every boxing-match with whatever shit-title on the line all over the world ever since. They pay to minimize the possibility (only by knockout)of loosing titles & tv-contracts = MONEY!!!It's corruption, it's a fact, it's obvious, it's known, silently agreed on and accepted by everyone, except the dumbest of the dumbest of motherfuckers! Are you guys actually watching boxing (in germany, UK, US, Russia, Mexico...EVERYWHERE!!! they fix the fights as a matter of fact cause i saw those fixed fights on tv & u-tube with my own eyes FCOL!!) OR JUST TALKING SHIT ABOUT IT! Please can somebody explain it maybe better - the fact of TOTAL CORRUPTION in PRO-BOXING - to the full-on retards?

I'm just hoping I get an opportunity to watch it Saturday. I have no problem with getting the ppv but wil bel out of town this weekend. Saturday will be a long day, if I get back to the hotel in time AND feel like I have the energy to stay awake long enough to watch it I will.

I was about to applaud you for sticking to your beliefs (despite general worldwide disagreement) but perhaps you could reconsider your last paragraph? Her scorecard is probably the worst ever in a big fight.

heck, why have given ggg any rounds then

obviously 10-2 was a sh1tty card and she shouldnt be appluaded. when canelo clearly beats ggg this time it will be a thing of the past though

If?

That fight is in the past now.. Only thing is, it's on the record books as a draw. Which is the shitty thing, regardless og who wins this.

its not a thing of the past in that ppl keep going on about the scoring, but if canelo legit wins the rematch, and i am sure he will, i think it will push the bad score out of more ppls memories

I don't think DAZN is carrying the GGG vs Alvarez fight.
