I would like to think that people have turned to voting for them idiots, due to being disillusioned with the whole immigration issue.
Maybe people feel that they are not being listened to,and feel that the English people are losing their identity.I mean in some areas people can't fly the george cross due to it offending 'minorities'!!! which is utter bollox.

I can sort of understand why people would vote for them, maybe as a last resort, although I will never condone it.

Or maybe the reason is loads of people are just racist?!? :o

i suppose some people are angry at the immigration situation at the moment but voting for those goons acheives nothing.
france is full of big white crosses and in fact there`s not a corner of this planet or a single sea or ocean that doesnt contain the remains of a brit who gave everything he had so his country didnt have to suffer under a facist regime.
now people are voting them in.
dont know wether to laugh or cry really.

It's a protest vote to highlight the way immigration is being handled. I very much doubt the majority of those who voted would actually want the BNP in government.

If you actually read their manifesto they have a problem with economics, we'll pay all minorities 1000s to go back 'home', increase spending on hospitals, increase spending on schools. increase spending on.....I wonder what tax rates we'd pay under the BNP :o , 60% Tax? foreign investment reduced! A massive recession, huge unemployment (won't affect many current BNP voters), everyones poor with no money but at least we haven't got any black ******* to screw it up for us.

I think asylum seekers and huge immigration is hard for many people to deal with and thats why they turn to the BNP. The truth is with an aging population we need high immigration to pay for huge number of baby boomers that are soon to be pensioners. Thats why the government turn a blind eye and 'accidently' let in asylum seekers and immigrants, they're doing it on purpose. There getting cheap labour into the economy that will do the jobs you and I and Chav who signs on for benefits won't do.

This policy is well known in the US - let in Mexicans to work below minimum wage which profits the economy and US businesses and give them no rights to any benefits. Meanwhile the poor sod who works for next to nothing is the person getting hatred

THE UK government are lying <unts on immigration, they want immigrants, they don't want to give them rights, and they'll lie to the people and go along with the falicy that they're bad for the economy. There not their good for the economy. Just set up an immigration policy that is selective (ie no rapists/murders), that only allows people to come here and work and not claim benefits and everyone can be happy (except the BNP)

The poor white in this country have a low standard of living and few opportunities unless they go out there and make them for themselves but its always been that way and it wouldn't change with less immigration.

Alot of people that vote BNP are not racist, more nationlist.

Its the way the party goes about there bussiness that makes them a bad party, There is no doubt that they have a Nazi element about them, if they were to get rid of this image i think more would vote.
I have always been Labour but havent botherd to vote for about 6 years for any party.

I have a problem with people moving to this country that want to change our way of life. I have no No problem with them moving and working here. I Just dont wish to change the way we live to suit them.

People are starting to have enough of being told they are no longer aloud to do what they have been doing for 100's of years, because of someones religion.

More people will vote the likes of BNP, but will not tell you because they will be seemed as racists. I might vote BNP next time. i like to think im nationlist rather than racist.

bar a few loonies i dont actually think that people come here to try and change our way of life in fact if anyone is guilty of going to foreign country`s and imposing their way of life on anyone then its us. we actually jailed people for wanting a say in their own country`s political direction (ghandi, ben gurion, kenyata, mugabi, nehru, necruma(sp?), mcarrios etc). when that mad mullah with the hook actually gets the authorities to stick say, gordon brown or john reid in jail then we might know how they felt.
i do believe we need to get rid of this open house policy to foreigners but its a bit rich for example for `empire builders` like cecil rhodes to go to southern africa set up debeers and sweep up all the diamonds for a century with the profit ending up in the u.k then for us to say to the africans oh you cant come here.

Please don't demean my post by asking a question like that or next time I won't answer you.

Well I read one policy and then another policy or the intentions sound iffy, so I'm not so sure what to think. Or sometimes I read something about them and it can turn out to be propaganda.

That was in the past though at the times of the empire which we don't do now though.

Wasn't Mugabi a terrorist?

There are some who do try to degrade our way of life though and talk about how theirs is better. Then why did they come here then if their country and way of life is better then.

Just because Britain has done bad things to other Countries in the past doesn't mean we have to punish ourselves now.

mugabi is a nasty piece of work but to some in his own country he was seen as a freedom fighter fighting against years of colonial oppression.
the point is our country was meddling in the political affairs of another state.

regarding people wanting to change our way of life i reckon 99.9% of the immigrants come here in order to live our way of life not destroy it.
most of the ridiculous decisions like not flying flags and all that tend to come from white loony left councillors and most immigrants dislike those types of decisions because it brings grief their way.
i dont think we should have open borders myself, and the current situation is a disgrace but i certainly wouldnt vote in a gang of thugs to make a point.
by the way i agree on your point about religious fanatics or anyone who doesnt like it here - they can go after all its a free country.

The BNP are wrong. They are racist. and no-one can argue that they are anything else.

Britain needs to address the immergartion issue, but the policies of the BNP are not the road that we need to take.
Bollocks to anyone who quotes Enoch Powell's 'Rivers of Blood' speech. We all need to realise that Britain is a Multi cultured country, its not going to change.

The BNP would basically end up kicking out anyone who is not a WASP (White Anglo Saxon Prodestant). There is a massive immigration problem in this country, but the BNP are too extreme, same as the loony left (like red ken) but on the other flank. They are as bad as each other.

I have no problem with immigration, as long as it is controlled, and at levels which the country can cope.

Also, anyone coming into this country should have soemthing to offer, in return for safe haven, a democracy and a chance to earn a living.

The Irish, West Indian and Jewish immigrants who entered the country vefore and just after the war, did so with no benefit or NHS system.

They just got on and worked, and made a life for themselves through hard work.

I beleive that foreign criminals should be deported, regardless of what fate awaits them overseas. Any who encourage or support terrorism should be deported too.

I also beleieve that no immigrant should be eligible for benefits until he/she has paid a certain amount of tax/national insurance.

We should welcome immigrants, who want to work hard and make a better life for themselves.

Look at the eastern european in the building industry. They are great. They work hard, with a no nonsense attitude. None of the Lazy british tradesman's mentality.

This will keep on happening until the main parties heed the wake up call and tackle important issues instead of pussy footing around. The three big parties are too arrogant to deal with problems such as immigration and this means BNP and the likes make gains from this attitude.

I'm an Independent reader - the best paper by a country mile, IMO.

They did an excellent expose on the BNP in the week up to the elections. Some of the stuff wasn't even close to the truth.

The paper was hilarious. The set out was like:

What the BNP say: 'A 19-year-old Pakistani was convicted of the rape of a nine-year-old white girl in Newtown'
The Truth: A 23-year-old white Brit was convicted of the crime.

And it went on for ages...

That dumb bitch Margaret Hodge gave them a much needed shot in the arm (rather than the head) when she said 8/10 people were thinking of voting BNP in her ward.

A mother of my friend was saying to us the other day she was going to vote BNP.She is an old girl and does'nt really have much to say about anything(and i think the marbles are starting to go!)

When i asked her why she was saying she is sick of being treated like a 2nd class citizen!!

Now,she lives in East London and has most of her 60 odd years. She was using the argument that when she goes shopping she is sick of the lack of thankyou's,unless you happen to be of the same ethinticity, she feel's intimidated by the big groups of miniroties, she was mugged by 3 loser cowards who just happened to be black about 2-3 yrs ago.
She say's she is sick of feeling like a minority in her own community, and treated like an outsider.

Now,i was trying to explain what the BNP are and what they stand for,but she was'nt having any of it!!

I sort of understand her feelings, and it's fair to say that round her way she is in a huge minority of whites it seems.

But voting this lot ain't the way.Just seems that there are a few people in her situation, who share the same thoughts.

No muslim councilor, the organisation produce st George slaying a muslim dragon T-shirts. They do indeed have a jewish councilor, however that is somewhat negated when the leader of the party reffered to the Holacaust as a "mixture of porperganda... and an extreamly proffitble lie."
