Anthony Joshua: "Deontay Wilder Has 2 or 3 Years Left in Career"

Post by Ruthless-RKO »

Joshua said,

“With Povetkin, I am looking past him because I am going for the big guns now.

“If you beat me and beat me in a rematch then you are set to be the king of the heavyweight division.

“But, if you believe it, then you have to sign a contract and get it done.

“Wilder will make a deal because if you believe you are better than me and you can prove it to the world in a global event, then why wouldn’t you fight me?

“And that’s to all of them, including Fury.”

Joshua believes the clock is already ticking on 32-year-old Wilder, after almost 10 years since his November 2008 pro debut.

He added: “That is a long time and he has been hurt by people like Eric Molina and others.

“I think maybe he has two or three years left.”

Yeh, HW's usually can go on longer, but he's already been around nearly 10 years.. He won't want too many losses if any..

He'll want to earn some good money then retire.

I like how they're trying to spin it like it's Wilder and his team who don't want to fight. Even highly respected members of boxing like Lennox Lewis said it's the other way around.

They don't want the fight. As Barry said. The British people will pay for any old rubbish to fight Joshua. So why risk the cash cow getting beat.

With that said I think they're underestimating Povetkin. They've already said they're looking past him but he's got a great chance against Joshua. I'll be having a couple of quid on a Povetkin KO. No point backing points because Joshua was given rounds against Wlad when he was too tired to throw a punch for half the fight.

Povetkin has decent movement.. Can move around Joshua, pick some shots. He carries power too..

They should not be looking past him.

McCracken won't be looking past him, neither will Joshua on the night.

Not in a million years is Joshua looking past pov, he will be focused on him in training & on the night.

But maybe when he says he is looking past povetkin it has something to do with April 13th already being booked

Joshua can be right here. About 35 boxers often decline significantly.
