Hardly anyone talking about AJ-Pov
Sells 80k tickets every fight, will deal with Povetkin and then be in a super fight next year. If that's irrelevant then wow.

They gonna have to pay the winner 50/50 now though I reckon,
if they don't it'll look like another duck.
Yeah - clever from Wilder/Fury.
If either took AJ first they'd get 30/70 but the winner is surely worth 50/50.

They advertised an "All Access" show for November about Wilder vs Fury. I've never seen them make a show like that for a fight that wasn't official. So I'd assume it must be signed.

It is guaranteed to be after the AJ fight.

Warren and finkel are desperate to take the attention away from AJ. So when better to announce the fight.

AJ beats Pov, AJ is in the ring calling out the winner of wilder v fury, massive social media announcement by both parties announcing a date & venue. Pisses all over hearn.

Social media will go into meltdown, totally ignoring AJ has just beaten another top 10 fighter.

He might not.. Hearn might want to keep attention on AJ...
TBH, for his last 3-4 fights, Wilder has been mentioned in all of AJ's post-fight interviews.. Same goes with AJ mentioned after every Wilder win.

Don't you think fans are sick of this now predictable post-fight call-out?

A lot of threats and posturing that leads to nowhere.

Start saving that kind of tired stuff until AFTER the fighters actually sign a contract.

Hearn to announce Uysk v Bellew in the ring after AJ - Povetkin with the winner, Uysk of course, facing off against AJ early next year...assuming Joshua wins of course.

Regarding who’s got one over who etc, all of them would love to be in Joshua’s shoes, if only for the bank balance!

No way in hell does Usyk go from Bellew straight to AJ.

Very unlikely of course but he’s mixed with giants in the ams and beat them with ease too.
Hearn will be building it ASAP I reckon. Uysk is brilliant and in terms of sheer talent is light years ahead of Joshua, Wilder and Fury. They only prevail against him based on size.

Johnny Nelson says Usyk hammered Wlad in sparring for the AJ fight. He was there.

AJ will fight Whyte next if he gets past Povetkin as expected. The Whyte fight has already been built up.
Usyk will be late 2019 to late 2020. It needs built up.

It was 'confirmed' nearly a month ago, and we still don't have a venue or date.

Are Wilder and Fury the two boxers with the most aggressive surnames in World Boxing?

On that note, I always thought that Usyk's amateur (semi-amateur, WSB, whatever it counts as when it's at home) win over Joyce revealed that Joyce is actually a proper throwback.

A throwback to when enormo-sized heavies were big, slow & uncoordinated, that is.

(Sorry if that seems a bit cruel, I mention it only 'cos Wilder/Fury/Joshua seem so markedly different in physical coordination & athletic ability compared to the likes of Joyce, who for me represents what old-timers used to say when they dissed really big dudes like Buddy Baer & Carnera & guys like that).

It's only official when it's announced and so far, no announcenent.

Wilder said that Warren would make it official this week. But the week is going by quickly.

November is now out the window. Too soon.

More likely it will be 2019, if it happens at all. PPV's around Christmas never draw as well.

What was the date on that? I guess you mean it was in December.

At least in the US, that wasn't a huge PPV offering. Mayweather was a name back then but it wasn't yet household .

And Hatton was just another challenger.

It was hardly a PPV must see.

They did hold De la Hoya vs Pacquiao in early December. It did pretty good as I recall but not outstanding.

In December, many fans without unlimited disposable income are saving up for Christmas.

They have to cut down on frills to afford some cheap presents for the in-laws.

And while most of you thankfully would never consider boxing PPV's a frill, there is a sizeable number of fringe fans out there who do. So PPV buys drop in December.

Wilder-Fury would be a tough enough sell any month of the year in the US.

Putting it on opposite the shopping season would present a huge obstacle to any success.
