I've not only see Hearn getting a lot of stick on here for the increasing number of PPVs, I've been one of those criticizing him for it. But in the interests of balance, I think it's worth sharing this article as he provides some interesting insights into the PPV situation and appears to lay the blame firmly at Sky's door in terms of them not allowing promoters like him the ability to do much more than break-even on non-PPV shows:

He is, which I found interesting in itself, as it's the first time I've seen him be critical of the relationship. With those insights into the dynamics it's the most credible 'excuse' I've heard from any promoter to date...

The fact that 80000 can even be considered a poor turn out by some speaks volumes for Joshua's popularity.

If he fights Wilder in April, I imagine the extended Wembley will sell out in no time.

He is right about PPV saturation, I have had to skip a few already this year and will likely miss a couple morw before the year is out.

Lol, all I read was Hearn admitting he's a shit promoter when he has to actually do any work to generate interest in a fight unless there's some manufactured wwe grudge to con the public.

And for him to complain about the increase in ppvs which has happened under his watch is insane.
