Orozco is a Warrior. But too flat footed. You are seeing the difference in levels here.

Agreed. First round was close. Ramirez won every other round so far.

Amazing fight. 95% of fighters would NOT have survived the 4th round knockdown or the 8th round liver shot knockdown.

Orozco won a LOT of fans tonight and will be a very popular fighter because of his gigantic heart and granite chin!!

More like 95% wouldn't have gotten up in the 4th. 99.99999% wouldn't have gotten up in the 8th. Ridiculous showing from Orozco. The man is not human.

That was one heck of an exciting one -sided fight.

On another note....where is x2x.......in the ninth round they let Orozco get the full one minute from his corner and then after the bell rang they led him to the corner to see the doctor for a few seconds........I thought only Wilder got that kind of extra help.

They've been doing it that way in California for several decades.

X2X, like his alter ego the late asdjfkl, believes that the boxing powers constantly conspire to help the devious, undeserving, cheating Wilder remain an unbeaten champion.

one thing i never got is why ppl look at a fighter getting dropped by a body shot etc, then saying something like 'wow hes so tough/durable, most would never have gotten up from that'

um, arent you using the guys own hurt reaction to the shot as the basis to say hes durable? i mean in plenty of fights clean shots land w/o even making a notable damage, its usually the reaction itself that gives us the info that it was damaging to the fighter, but then theres the question of the fighters own durability

like, amir iman just not long ago took loads of shots from ramirez yet went the distance too, w/o getting dropped at all

Great fight, but Orozco didn't seem like the same guy who beat up Soto and Taylor a few years ago. There was some talk of his coach having to keep a tight watch on him, it's possible he hasn't been very dedicated to training.

Ramirez looked great. I'd like to see him unify with Relikh.

Crap I forgot about that. Maybe Mimoune then? I saw him beat Eggington for the EBU title and he's got slick boxing ability and would be a very different challenge from Orozco.

In the post-fight interview last night Ramirez mentioned he wanted Reggie Prograis. That would be a tremendous matchup, especially if Prograis wins the WBSS and becomes a unified champ. If Relikh or Josh Taylor win the WBSS then either of them would also be a great unification bout for Ramirez!!

It's gotta be at least 1, maybe 1.5 years before he can fight anyone in the WBSS, right?

I'd say in the interim, Mimoune is the best option. Or maybe Hooker, who I thought was in the WBSS but I guess now isn't? Not sure what happened there.
