also, basically anyone who tweets that they scored it for canelo gets harassed with idiotic drivel , presumably by ggg fans. there is a nastyness about ggg fans and they try to bully and intimidate those who dont agree

Canelo won the fight. Golovkin gave up the centre of the ring.

Boxing loses though, the king of the sport is a known drugs cheat.

It seems that you’re right, because here’s an example of an article that has just been published:

"Amir Khan’s Reaction After Canelo Beat GGG Has Not Gone Down Well"

Former world champion Amir Khan’s take on this past weekend’s big fight in Las Vegas has not gone down well with boxing fans.

Khan tends to get hammered to shreds by certain areas of the fight community.

Why, to me, is unknown though.

All he’s ever done for us has provided entertaining fights and proven his incredible levels of heart and courage, time and time again.

At any rate, this reaction has annoyed a large proportion of fans online again:

Here’s what some of the boxing world has been saying to him in reply:

Therefore, any media savvy boxing pundit, former/current pro or celebrity is likely to do their upmost to avoid criticism, so they’ll either refrain from expressing their support for the judges verdict or they will try to “fit in” by adhering to the popular opinions held by the mainstream masses, because the consequences of going against the grain will inevitably result in a barrage of abuse via social media.

This is a phenomena that we’re going to witness time-and-time again, whenever a “hero” is on the losing end of an evenly-contested bout against the so-called “villain”, the mainstream masses will inevitably support the former and be outraged and aggressively criticise anyone that agrees with any verdict that goes against their preferred outcome.
