can GGG and Canelo fight before 5th may?

Post by Cent0089 »

Wat do you think guys, can these boxers fight at least once before may 2019 (not against each other)? I really don´t like these 8 months layoffs :box: :box: :box:

I think it needs a trilogy. I did not think Canelo won that fight. GGG was impressive going backwards with that accurate jab. Seems everyone was drinking the HBO Kool-Aid. GGG hurt Canelo big time twice. Canelo at no point hurt GGG.

Maybe
I think they each fight somebody else and then if they both win, possibly. But canelo controls everything now and he might wanna take a little break. Both guys were really gassed and beat up.

But, I'm Much more impressed with CA than GGG honestly. I don't think he beat Jacobs which was his 1st real test of top talent. Now, he can't even get one knockdown against the 154lbr moving up?

I wouldn't mind a 3rd fight. I'd like to see 'em both fight somebody else first though just for the hell of it. There's lots of names out there I'd like to see 'em mix with, and I think these two will always be closely matched. I'm curious how they'd fare against others.

This does feel like a Marquez-Pacquiao type rivalry though. Where it'll always be close until somebody finally wins by KO one of these times

That’s one of the maddest rivalries ever. Almost a one round blow out and you’d have never seen four fights but it ended with the fighter almost destroyed in the first blowing out the other fighter with a knockout for the ages.

Yeah, chapter 3 has sense, but probably it's better for both to take at least a one other fight.

Canelo is not fighting until (at least) May 5, more likely a year from now.

GGG will fight sometime the first half of next year.

It doesn't make sense for them to take another fight. GGG is getting old and the only top contenders are brutally talented. The Derevyanchenko/Jacobs winner will be an effing monster lurking around in the division. Andrade/Saunders winner will be another elite contender. MW just exploded.

ONLY if the fight happens elsewhere than Nevada and California and Mexico... I'd rather see it in Philadelphia, so Hopkins would be overseeing the fight, but I don't really trust the dude.

For me personally there's no point. Most people say GGG won the first fight, and thus far public opinion has been GGG won this fight too. He can rest easy in the knowledge real boxing fans know the truth.

Howdy Doody is a decade younger. Popped twice for steroids. And still needed corrupt judges to beat an older & inactive fighter. Case closed.

If Canelo with GGG fight the winners of Derevyanchenko/Jacobs and Andrade/Saunders and both win, their 3rd fight will have more sense, than any other possible bout in the division.

No, their third fight makes sense right now. No one else can say they are above these two champions, no one.

Canelo has MSG booked for him in December.

I remember after the Smith fight, Canelo planned on fighting in December but his thumb was injured I think.

No chance in hell.

Canelo wants a December fight.

He then will fight again on Cinco de Mayo, a revered date he inherited from Mayweather.

He won't fight in 2019 before then.

And I doubt that CdM date it will be against Golovkin, whose disrespectful blither in the pre-fight buildup, should eliminate him from any consideration for a third fight.

Let Golovkin pursue the winner of Jacobs-Derevynchenko if he craves a belt so badly.

Although I suspect that if Derevynchenko thrashes Jacobs as I expect, Golovkin won't want any part of him.

They easily could, but the suits won't let them.

Top PPV cash cows only fight twice a year; top fighters who are not cash cows fight even less than that.
