Hassan Karkardi. Thanks mate
Re: Nick Blackwell sparring session?
did he get banned just for the blackwell thing
Re: Nick Blackwell sparring session?
Nick blackwell should be shouldering the blame for the sparring. U know for a fact if youve had a brain injury u should NEVER spar again.

Takes two to tango
Both dinlos imo, but blackwells a fighter, that's just how he's bred
Needed saving from himself
The people around him shouldlve jumped in and put a stop to it a bit sharpish cos a true fighter will never jack

Exactly that. Anyone who had anything to do with that spar should be held accountable.

Re: Nick Blackwell sparring session?
Karkardi was a light-heavy, but Blackwell was used to sparring bigger lads due to the scarcity of good middles in Bristol. Karkardi seemed like one of the most available from what I've heard.
Blackwell obviously hoped to avoid the outcome, but as daft an idea as it was to us, we weren't in his shoes. Karkardi should've refused, aye, but he was known to me as popular for helping local boxers out. I'm sure losing to Eubank stung more than a loss might have otherwise. The Khamitski draw wasn't the end of the world.

Its a tricky one and without knowing who was told what it is hard to shoulder blame.
It might have been that Blackwell convinced him that a light spar would be fine.
Just a sorry state of affairs and personally I think it is hard to lay a blame without knowing who said what before. Macro Antionio Barrera fought with metal plates in his head.... and Nicks first recovery was so promising, it might have been easy to think he was fine for a light spar.... if he was also saying this.

How is Nick doing now? Like you say, his first recovery seemed really good, it was such a stupid shame what happened subsequently.
