Are You Buying the Joshua - Povetkin PPV?

Post by Boxerbeetle »

So who’s joining in with the casuals and buying the AJ PPV?

I’m definitely gonna buy it, got a day out at the football first to watch my team get spanked by Man City, then my missus is going out in the evening so I’ll settle down with a takeaway and a crate of (alcoholic) beers to watch Joshua spank Pov :yay:

Can’t see that at all. Think this may end up being one of Joshua’s lowest rating PPVs since he won the ibf title.

I'll be in Greece so no, but even if I was here it would still be a no. With a decent undercard I might have considered it but it's Hearn so what do you expect.

I will say there's been far less chatter about this fight on Facebook from all my filthy casual friends than for all AJ's recent fights.

I'll be watching in the pub, yeah PPV figs might not be great but for me it's the best opponent other than Wilder. Can't see this being an easy night for AJ.

Na. Molina was lowest. Takam did less than 1 million. Wlad and Parker did above 1 million.

Couple of mates coming round so yeah I’m ordering it. Plus NowTV are again chucking in a free month of Sky Sports with the order so it cushions the box office blow somewhat.

Not too fussed about the main event but I like the Campbell and Askin fights. Probably most of all I’m looking forward to the three of us enthusiastically informing Pricey that he’ll never walk alone.

That's cool. I wish I had boxing mates. I'm lucky to get one pal to go to a pub to watch Joshua. And even then they'll slightly annoy me with daft questions.

Unfortunately no. I've recently stopped buying any pay per views. Ive hardly missed any in the last 20 years since Tyson v Bruno 2 but enough is enough. Too many ordinary ppvs now and a real lack of quality cards.

I miss the live bills but I've been making do with listening to the radio, pressing refresh on here and watching on YouTube a day or two after. It's not been too bad.

Nope i bought a proper fight last saturday between two top 5 p4p middleweights for less than this, think im not gonna buy many more myself, sky is expensive as it is without all this ppv crap. No decent free boxing with the sports channels any more any half decent scrap gets put on ppv then Eddie Hearn has the cheek to say the bittom is gonna fall out of boxing cause others want to start charging ppv for their cards. Warrington vs frampton might do more buys than this card but Eddie says he will be surprised it does 100,000 buys? Frampton has the whole of Belfast behind him and warrington has the whole of Leeds behind him plus the casuals so i can see it doin decent numbers

Yeah, Campbell Mendy is going to be my pick. Been waiting for that one for 2 years.

i like the undercard. not loads of fights but good quality fights. askin-okolie, campbell-mendy, price-kuzmin could all be main events on a non ppv show. i have some type of interest in all of them. 4-0 giyansov vs a 14-0 young nicruaguan. could be a missmatch or could be a fight,. bit of interest in that too for the unknown too. i was actually pretty surprised to see how negative the reaction to the undercards been. give me this anyday vs some 8 fight 'stacked' undercard with popular a sides in big mismatches

add josh-pov to it and imo its a really good card with good potential for competivness and fun. i will be watching on ppv at friends place with about 10 others.

so actually im watching w/o paying! damn lee im stealing lol

Can't get it on BT and I have kids from tonight til Monday so it'll need to be a stream if I can get one. Kodi doesn't seem to be working lately though so I doubt I'll find one :maybe:

Watched some clips of this southpaw underdog, looks to have some ability.
