Obviously both knowledgable blokes
Sorry Coco. Normally find myself in agreement with you, but I strongly feel you’re completely wrong on this one (in regards to Smith rather than Bellew).
I distinctly recall Smith as being arrogant, patronizing and even threatening on occasion, and while I certainly don’t follow him on social, the original post would suggest that behavior has sadly remained consistent.
To give this some context, I don’t recall ever speaking about a professional boxer in these terms, so it’s not a habit of mine, but he undoubtedly came across as a thin-skinned bully on occasion. Have rarely encountered anyone so unwilling to accept other viewpoints.

Smigga was intolerable in his criticism of Groves.

I get it that people tweet stuff that isn't to everyone's taste but some stuff isn't even that bad and he's talking about 'saying it to his face' etc. It's weird. He's a married man, with children and in his late thirties... totally inexcusable.

I know he used to post on here but I can't remember much of him from then.

What a strange bloke.

That is all.
I picked up an agent the other week and we started chatting about boxers and this agent said bellew was a really really nice genuine man, same about masher dodd, couldn't say enough about derry mathews and a few others but did say theres one boxer from merseyside that they couldnt stand and said they dress like a tramp, walk round sky studios like he is the god of boxing and is an arrogant scruffy man,i said it isnt paul smith is it and they said got it in one. Said he doesnt listen to anyone elses opinion and his opinion matters.
I dont know why SKY have him on there and put up with him. Id rather have richie woodhall or dave price over him any day of the week. What has this fool done to think he can act liek this? He fought 24 journeyman and was rated so high in the british rankings its unbelievable. Sorry but i cant stand the man

Why is Paul Smith so aggressive?

Don't think it's roid rage.

As the oldest child, Scouse tradition usually dictates that he would be his nan's favourite.

Unfortunately Mrs Smith Snr just couldn't take to him (as he was a particularly whingey baby) and she preferred his brothers instead.

From that day forward, Paul was a defensive, rude, arrogant prick.

I’ve always found Smith to be a decent in “real life”. I wouldn’t respond to critics on Twitter, but on the other hand I’m not getting hundreds (thousands?) of notifications a day so have never been in that position. I’d recommend saying “Hello” if you bump into him somewhere. I’d rather someone who is gnarly online than those who pretend to be one thing on social media and are totally different in reality.
