Betting for the weekend. 22/9/18

Post by conan_the_cribber »

Just put 10 bucks on Potvekin at 26 .0 to win via pts. Sure, Joshua is the younger, stronger man. But I would rate Potvekin's pure boxing skills above those of Joshua. I think the most likely result is Joshua wins via KO, but if it does go the distance, I think Joshua is in for some difficulties. I just don't think he uses his size advantage as effectively as Klitschko could use size advantage. I see Potvekin earning a few rounds. 26.0 seems just way too high to ignore.

Even if Povetkin should get the win, I can't picture the judges it giving it to him. I understand though that the odds are high, so why not. Good luck....... :TU:

Yeh.. He aint winning a points unless he dominates full 3 minutes of each round.

The scorecards vs. Parker were too wide as well. It was a clear Joshua win, but didn't give Parker any credit.

Agree, I thought Parker did better than the score cards suggested.

Not sure the odds, haven't bet in a while, but Povetkin by KO would look like the best possible long shot.

Current odds with the fight an hour away or so.

Joshua is a 1-10 favorite.

He is favored at -275 to win by KO. About +300 to win a decision.

Povetkin is +800 to win by KO. And oddsmakers have no faith that Povetkin can get a decision. The odds offered for that are +2800.

If you fancy a draw, that's another longshot--+3300.
