Joshua vs Povetkin score cards

Post by Exoddus »

58-56
58-56
59-55

All for Joshua....

Povetkin was winning the fight before the stoppage. He gave Joshua a boxing lesson in quite a few rounds. Terrible scorecards and the judge who scored it 59-55 needs a prison sentence for that one.

It's official now. You have to beat Joshua by KO in Britain.

I had Povetkin up 58-56, until the 7th Joshua barely used a jab or threw a right hand, shaded a couple of rounds, cant argue with that finish though

People will rightly criticise Joshua's showing tonight up until the KO but its staggering that it was only his 22nd fight, there's been some poor eras in boxing but still no ones turned it over as quick as AJ, people talk about the Wilder/Fury but the winners fvck all without AJ

You mean the white man?

I had it 4-1-1 or 4-2 to Povetkin.

Hardly surprising, is it. We saw exactly the same last week in Vegas - the big money A side always gets the benefit of the doubt.

58-56 is the least possible score for Povetkin. Sasha was winning it, he was clearly landing the hardest shots through the fight until the last round.

It has already been clear, that Joshua is hometown judges-aided fighter and now it has been proved once again.

With that in mind, how could Fury ever beat him?

AJ might just be the 'Mexican' of the UK I think. The scorecards against Klitschko were also disgraceful.

Maybe a knockout? I think you win the match if you KO your opponent.

Seems to be the case for any Superstar anywhere in the world. You can't beat 'em on points in their territory.

He’s so unorthodox. He’ll make Joshua very unconfortable in there I think. If Fury can beat Wlad in Germany then he can beat anyone, anywhere.

So sure? Watching tonight I don’t think Joshua is busy enough to beat Fury.

Though he’d have to care less about getting hurt of course.

Fury's a joke that built his reputation against a guy that didn't come to fight. He gets flattened by Wilder in December. You can take it to the bank.

I think that’s more of a possibility than Joshua beating him. We'll just have to wait and see.

That was Fury's career-best performance, but Chisora's 6'1" and I think that flattered Fury quite heavily.

I think Joshua and Wilder both stop him, but since his ‘thing’ is outpointing people with defensive skills, he's never beating Joshua in the UK. He'd have to win every round clearly to sneak it. Not impossible, but I wouldn't put more than a couple of quid on it.
