Joshua is coming across very well in the media generally after this fight, like someone says even if there's an element of good PR it is coming across very unforced and naturally classy.

aj almost always comes across pretty well like that, ppl going crazy when he shows even just a bit of edge or says an occasional swear shows how good hes been.

There was a really good moment on a radio interview, Costello asked him if on the form of last night he would have handled Klit easier, and he did this kind of self-deprecating laugh and said 'nah look Klitschko is an amazing fighter look at what he did with Povetkin, he handled him *just with his jab* (impressed tone of voice), if me and him fought it would always go like that, he's a great fighter'. Classy.

He does seem to have been let off the leash a bit with his media of late. I wondered why he was coming with the "let them fight each other" quotes but realised it was part of a longer interview where he said he was fed up of it all being on his shoulders and I got the sense he was getting a bit bored of being the continual focus, whether it be negative or positive.

That's the problem, people are always talking about how Fury WOULD beat these fighters, but Joshua HAS beaten these fighters.

Fury has been living off the Vlad win for years now, unlike Joshua who has since beat Takam, Parker and now Povetkin.

Fury has never beaten a world class opponent convincingly, what makes you think he can now after all the troubles he's had in the last 3 years

Apart from the main event it was a disappointing night, the weather can't have helped but the weather never made the undercard.

Price and Okolie's fights were both farces and the Campbell fight didn't mean anything bar getting the loss back.

I wonder how Eddie will sell Wembley out for a Whyte rematch ?

I think Fury has the style to give Joshua problems, but I don't think he can stay out of harms way forever, and he doesn't have the beard to cope with getting hit flush.

I think he could frustrate him for quite a while with his movement, but unlike Wlad, Joshua is naturally aggressive, and the minute he lands flush on Fury and hurts him, he will go in for the kill, and get it.

Bit harsh considering he dominated Klitschko and lost about 2 rounds

I get what you mean, but it would be easy to dominate someone who didn't throw any punches for 11 rounds.

True enough mate but how many times did we see aggressive guys go in against Mayweather and fail to let their hands go? If you give some guys something to think about then they'll think twice about throwing

The you get guys that do try to let their hands go and start swinging and just look like they get schooled.. I'm referring to Lemieux vs. Saunders

The problem with that, in his pomp, Mayweather could pop. So there was always the risk of the counter knockout. I don't think Fury possesses the same relative power.

A lot of fans where not happt the Enzo tribute was done to a mostly empty crowd..

Here’s just a selection of the comments:

“Place was empty. Well done for tribute but should have been done before AJ,” said one.

———————————————————————————————————

“Shocking to do it then when it was not that many fans in there,” griped another.

————————————————————————————————

“This should’ve been done with a FULL stadium! Poor really. He deserved the full capacity not just the staff just before the main event would’ve been perfect.”

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————

“Why so early in the evening with five people and their dogs watching? It should’ve been before the Joshua fight. Lack of respect if you ask me.”

—————————————————————————————————————————————————————————

“Disgraceful this isn’t done by (Michael) Buffer just before AJ comes on the stadium is empty!”

—————————————————————————————————–

“Personally, they should’ve done the tribute just before the Joshua/Povetkin fight as it wasn’t seen by as many as it could’ve been. He will be missed and will leave a big hole in the industry. I don’t use the word Legend often but that man was definitely one of them!”

———————————————————————————–

“Too early in proceedings for such an important tribute. Needs to be repeated later when the stadium is full.”

————————————————————————————————————————————————————

"Traditional ten bells sounded to an almost empty stadium!! What was the reason behind it not being before the main event? P*** poor!”

Maybe the ‘fans’ should look at themselves for not bothering to turn up until the main event.

They didn't want to.

Why should they look at themselves?

The problem would of been if they did the ten bells before the main event- the ‘casual’ crowd with a few lines and beers might not of given it the respect it deserved.

Yeh. Sweet caroline is more important to the capacity crowd.

Unfortunately it probably is.
I was upset it wasn’t before the main event being a proud Welshman.
But if it wasn’t met with the respect it deserved it would of made me blow a fuse. I’m sure if sky had a York Hall type show on this weekend they would do it again but right before the main event.
