help me with this guys, just how big a puncher is bellew at cruiser?

can anyone help me with past odds for bellew fights. lots of talk about how he always proves everyone wrong etc, so i want to take a look at what the odds actually were

just off the top of my head, id assume

3 wins as dog, 2 losses as dog, 1 time failed to win as favoyrite:

big underdog: vs haye and vs steve (beat one of them and lost to one of them)

moderate underdog: makabu (won)

small underdog: clev 1 (lost)

favourite: all other fights (all wins except chilemba 1)

ive seen some ppl say he was underdog vs clev in the rematch, but from a quick search most odds i found had bellew as a slight favourite. tbf, as a cruiser is 3-0 as dog, but then again usyk is 15-0 as fav.

He was about 5/1 in first fight with Haye. About 9/4-5/2 2nd fight. He was about 6/4 in Makubu fight. About as an underdog as Canelo is tonight. Bellew Clev 2 was pretty 50/50 fight with either one 5/6-10/11 with some bookies and flip flopping favs on Betfair at times.

I’d guess Breidis and Gassiev punch harder, possibly much harder in Gassiev’s case, Uysk took everything they landed with and smiled.

Me too, he has turned what looked like being a ho-hum career into a great one and has experienced pretty much everything you can as a pro boxer, win or lose he will deffo sleep easy at night once its all over.

Tickets for November 10's historic Cruiserweight World title showdown between Oleksandr Usyk and Tony Bellew at Manchester Arena go on General Sale today (September 24) at midday.

Tickets are priced £40, £60, £80, £100, £150, £200, £300, £500 and £800 VIP and can be purchased from www.stubhub.co.uk, www.manchester-arena.com and www.matchroomboxing.com.

Press conference is today at 1pm.

A capacity crowd of 20,000 is expected to pack the formerly M.E.N Arena on fight night, with Manchester’s own Anthony Crolla set to co-feature.

Ex-lightweight ruler Crolla has been handed a final WBA eliminator against Daud Yordan.

31 year-old Yordan has three losses in 41 and is a former IBO title holder.

WBA President Gilberto Mendoza was present to ratify the situation, which could eventually see the winner facing Vasyl Lomachenko next year.

Lomachenko, the current pound for pound number one, was at the press conference to support Usyk, one of his best friends.

Promoter Eddie Hearn also confirmed another 135 pound battle on the card as Joe Cordina takes on one-time British champion Scott Cardle.

Olympian Cordina is aiming to build on his recent victory over Sean Dodd after claiming the Commonwealth strap.



A fourth match-up to be set for November is a featherweight rematch between Ryan Walsh and Isaac Lowe.

Walsh and Lowe traded blows at the same venue back in February, fighting out a split draw for the coveted Lonsdale Belt.
