You get done for supply, and it doesn't matter if you are making money or giving away presents, the offence is the same.mickeyb wrote: ↑24 Sep 2018, 18:26Or give it away to mates or people who he wanted to impress. Or split it with friends who'd all chipped in to get a better deal.
Or yeah, maybe he wanted to sell it, and be a drug dealer. The fact is, unless you have copped weed off of him, or know someone who has, no-one knows if Joshua was dealing or not. Given his sentence, probably not - or at least not in any way that anyone (without an agenda) would call him a dealer.
I had a pal working on the door, never had anything to with drugs in his life. A woman had been in the pub all night coming on to him, and in the end she wanted to know who she could get any coke off. He just wanted to crack on to her so was willing to help her out so he asked a couple of fellas he knew in the pub and someone said try that bloke over there, he pointed her in his direction, turned out she was undercover and got 2 years, the same as the fella who sold it to her.
They had been doing a big op in the city that weekend, undercover, also a big uniformed raid on another pub, and had got absolutely nothing. My pal was the only one caught for something and needed to throw the book at him to justify such a big operation.

Haha, brilliant, I'd never heard that one, just use brass monkeys for when it's cold.
Re: Billy Joe Saunders taunts drug addict
We also call them spoon burners and tinfoil merchants... Aye I've heard it's freezing brass monkeys before but I don't get it

BJS fine £100K and has been issued a reprimand, the fine will go to the charity to help ex boxers.
Re: Billy Joe Saunders taunts drug addict
Yes, I know. That's exactly my point. Getting nabbed for possession with intent does not necessarily make you a dealer.Coco wrote: ↑25 Sep 2018, 08:24You get done for supply, and it doesn't matter if you are making money or giving away presents, the offence is the same.mickeyb wrote: ↑24 Sep 2018, 18:26Or give it away to mates or people who he wanted to impress. Billy Joe Saunders: World champion fined £100,000 for 'sickening' video
British WBO middleweight world champion Billy Joe Saunders has been fined £100,000 by the British Boxing Board of Control for a social media video that police described as "sickening".
Saunders, 29, has apologised for the video, in which he tells a woman he will give her £150 worth of drugs to perform a sex act.
The BBBofC found him guilty of bringing the sport into disrepute and issued a severe reprimand as well as the fine.
The fine will go to charity.
The BBBofC charity will use it to assist ex-boxers and ex-licence holders who have fallen on hard times.
In the clip Saunders was also seen asking the woman to punch a passer-by, which she does, before he drives off.
Police have started an investigation into the incident.

Re: Billy Joe Saunders taunts drug addict
£100k is somewhat OTT although perhaps this is intended to reflect his numerous previous fuckups
Re: Billy Joe Saunders taunts drug addict
Interested to see what old bill do.
Re: Billy Joe Saunders taunts drug addict
Let's hope Vernon Vaniel will see some of that, but then I didn't even get a reply from the board about him.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑25 Sep 2018, 09:15 Billy Joe Saunders: World champion fined £100,000 for 'sickening' video

I think the fine is a bit strong, footballers can only be fined a maximum of 2 weeks wages. Nevertheless BJS needs to sort his behaviour out, for his own good too, so hopefully he will step into line.

Re: Billy Joe Saunders taunts drug addict

Quite. And 'drug dealing' is rather a broad and emotive term. He wasn't Tony Montana.danconnollyeire wrote: ↑25 Sep 2018, 07:19Yep, agreedBoxerbeetle wrote: ↑25 Sep 2018, 03:20 Who gives a fvck if Joshua sold a bit of weed? Should be legal anyway.

Far from it. You can't even accused him of providing people with something that might kill them. 0 people ever have OD'd on weed. You'd have more ground accusing a barman of fvcking someone updeadpan wrote: ↑25 Sep 2018, 10:26Quite. And 'drug dealing' is rather a broad and emotive term. His fine is way over the top.
Re: Billy Joe Saunders taunts drug addict
Anyone think there is a chance Billy will actually pay it?
Those gypsies like their pennies, and their pride, cant see Bill handing that sort of dough over very easily.
