Josh Taylor is excellent to watch. bags of technical ability but likes a scrap as well.

When I was a kid I loved watching Gatti and DLH. Usually guaranteed excitement.

Johnny Tapia.

Perhaps only because I watched Tapia vs Ayala 1 earlier today when bored, but he was sure fun to watch in a good scrap.

What occurred mate ?
Memory is fading about whether this was a title defence or not but was a big fan of Ronnie since. as a lad, seeing him box at the old Liverpool Stadium - lost a few but was a strong, skilled boxfighter who was expected to see off this pretty crude guy from Ghana,. As it turned out Roy shot out of his corner raining punches from all directions, literally flailing away like a windmill for every minute of every round for the whole fight - Ronnie tried to use his Willie Pep-ish boxing skills but to no avail and was just fed up enough to quit on his stool before the fight ended (can't remember the round but it must have been past the 10th of a 15 rounder). There was even some chat about whether Roy should be banned as not being ' a proper boxer'! I was in the army at the time and with a couple of mates hitched a ride back to camp in the early hours. For some reason this has stuck in my mind all these years. Ronnie carried on for quite a time afterwards and even got a Lonsdale belt outright but never realised his ambition to fight the real Willie Pep.

I've watched the video several times ( for research purposes) as I can confirm there was no tongue.

Barrera, Morales and the Marquez brothers were in a lot of fun fights. Could watch their fights all day!

DaVarryl Williamson & Travis Walker. Two heavyweight fringe contenders of recent times were always good to watch, both carried power but were very vulnerable.

I liked Mayorga as well......

......top-level pro happily puffing his way through training and his press conferences and with someone very serious waiting and wanting to smash his block off. Aparently, a good hit of tobacco gave RM the lift he needed

Matthew Saad Muhammad could quite easily be the most exciting pound for pound fighter in history.

Unfortunately no longer with us.
