Chris Eubank Jr Reveals Brighton Fight Plans

Post by Ruthless-RKO »

He has expressed his desire to fight at the home of Brighton & Hove Albion.

Now, the Brighton boxer insists he no longer fights for money, but for the love of the sport.

Eubank flies out to Saudi Arabia this week to take on JJ McDonagh on the undercard of Groves’ super fight against Callum Smith.

The 29-year-old has plans for a fight to take place much closer to home, however.

“Brighton had a couple of good results against Man United, haven't they?” he said in an interview with the Daily Mail.

“They've had some big results at the Amex.

“It's a stadium that I'd love to fight at.

“I’ve got to do that one day.”

Eubank also underlined his target list for his career, and said he wants to avenge the defeats on his record.

“Right now, I just focus on the fight in hand and try not to think about who I’m fighting after,” he explained.

“Who knows? Yes, I want the rematch with George. Yes, I want the rematch with Saunders. Yes, I want to fight James DeGale. Yes, I want to fight Callum Smith.

"It wasn't a devastating loss to George. I didn't get beaten up, I didn't get hurt, I didn't get knocked out.

“It was a close fight. George is a world-class fighter so losing to him on points is not the end of the world.

“It was a setback, for sure, but there are many opportunities for me.”

The Groves fight he made around 1.7m not sure if Sterling or Dollars.

Must have made around 1m vs. Yildrim.

Rumours where out that he made £3m vs. Abraham. God knows!

So I think he’a done well recently.

Meh, he was still in it. Like he said, he wasn't badly hurt or knocked down. Sure St George took him to school that night, but it wasn't a total one sided beat down.

700k? Just a guess. Actually, maybe even half. Depends how much these guys get taxed.

Your going to be taxed at around 40% on that,

minus training expenses, mangers, trainers etc..

I'd guesstimate from a million purse, in this country, without creative accounting, they'd take home between 4 and 5 hundred thousand.

I know footballers avoid paying a lot of tax, unless something's changed.

I doubt he’ll be paying anywhere near 40%. Everything will be channeled through his Ltd company so his accountants will be creative on how he draws his money etc.
