Ouch no refunds.... That sucks for his friends and family.
That doesn't seem right. If you purchase tickets for a certain product and that product is suddenly unavailable, you should be automatically entitled to a refund.

If promoters are selling Molina -Ortiz and that falls apart, how can you force fans to pay for something else?

Sounds like bait and switch.

I used to attend the Olympic Auditorium fights quite frequently in the 70s. When any high profile main event was cancelled and I had already purchased tickets early for it, I'd trudge down to 18th and Grand and request a refund.

The box office guys would always counter by offering me a partial refund and a discount on the tickets.

Sometimes if the replacement main event was intriguing, I would accept the offer.

But if not, I stood my ground and received my money back.

Promoters here should do the same. They may be legally obliged.
Yup that is the right way to do it!

Wonder if they are trying to strong arm till the last second, might be trying to get a last second replacement!
In the UK, use your credit card, get a ticket above £100.. Under section 75, you can claim a refund through you're bank.

Best way..

Not sure if USA has same..

They already announced the new main event-- Figueroa vs Escandon.

But most fans didn't purchase tickets for that fight.

They purchased Ortiz-Molina and promoters are obliged to present that fight or give a refund.

You don't sell someone a $75,000 Ferrari and then hand him the keys to a Honda Civic when he arrives to pick it up.

This situation is no different. I hope Molina's family gets tough about it.
