Ingle Gym

Post by jizzle »

Was just listening to a podcast about the BJS doping situation and they were alluding to a long history of doping at the Ingle Gym ... other than Kid Galahad who else has been done for drugs there?

It’s not a fail for WADA or UKAD

The question is what is the point of the VADA if it doesn’t effect what’s going on

More to the point, why does UKAD only count ‘in competition’ as the day of the fight? Ridiculous.

And WADA. It’s not a sole UK think. But I agree. The stimulant assists fat burning etc. It’s use is not fight night

quite simple really....

many medications are banned during competition but not during 'everyday life'

sportsmen need medication for coughs/colds/asthma/headaches etc the same as any other human.

many medications for everyday issues contain substances that are banned on the day of competition. every drug has a 'half life' and a mode of dismissal from the human body (via kidneys/liver etc)

if you need medication for asthma ie ventolin... (salbutamol etc) then its fair to say that the relief of the inhaler may last tens of minutes/hours. the eradication from the body may take hours/days. these figures are all proven facts.

its unfair to deny asthmatics the opportunity to become professional sportsmen so therefore rules are in place. if you puffed on your ventolin inhaler before the first bell and between rounds you would gain an advantage potentially over your opponent.....if you had puffed on it the day before there will be no advantage come fight night.

therefore........it would be banned during competition but not in the build up.

BJS had taken some sort of nasal spray/decongestant (im led to believe) whilst in between fights. it would be illegal on fight night, but not in everyday life.

hope this clears things up.

Hmmm, yeah it’s surprising how many professional athletes also seem to suffer from asthma.

Good post

I think however for professional athletes, with what’s at stake, prescriptions and notifications really should be the standard

Despite Victor Conte being a rat. he knows his stuff. sounds like a fighter just taking advantage of Britain crap drug rules. It's not cheating if it's not against the rules :KO: But he does have a point how quickly BJS can lose the weight in a month or 2. it is suspect.

But what if someone was to puff on their inhaler before every session of a 12 week camp?

Would that not help them to reach a level of fitness they would probably not have been able to achieve without it?

Surely we can call that an unfair advantage?

But its untrue that Saunders lost 30 pounds in a month ahead of Lemieux.....only have to look at Saunders social media to know he was already in decent shape going into camp. So Conte is blatantly lying

Add to this he has an agenda having worked with Monroe and now Andrade, and its on 'Oscar TV' and its clearly far from a neutral interview on the subject.

The fact it’s Ring TV and he’s there saying “this is much worse than what Canelo took” screams of an attempt to minimise Canelo’s positive test to me more than anything else. I don’t know anything about what BJS has taken but I know about clen and it’s pretty strong gear. I don’t like Billy but him cheating shouldn’t be a way of rewriting history for another cheat.

no, because the half life of salbutamol is so minimal, it provides airway dilation, thats all. it saves lives. its a reliever of symptoms.

steroid inhalers on the other hand are preventers of symptoms and the half life is far extended to that of a reliever. i would suggest that a brown inhaler, like beclamethasone, takes about 2 weeks to have any effect as a preventer but it sits in the system a lot longer and its action is partly systemic.

I'm no expert and feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

if (for arguememts sake) it increases the user's aerobic capacity for roughly an hour and the user can use it before a one hour high intensity cardio session.
Would it not allow him to work at a higher intensity than normal during that session?

If so, he has gained an unfair advantage.

Doing this once may not do much, but doing it every day for a couple months could well make a big difference come fight night.

I wish someone had told me years ago that sniffing a nasal spray before training was so beneficial, I’d look like Hulk Hogan by now if I’d have known

After listening to Eddie Hearns comments in Saudi, he said the fight going on was 50-50 but didn't seem to give a monkeys, looked to me that he would be happy enough if BJS was stripped.
