Chris Eubank Jr almost kicked it off in Saudi Arabia
JJ McDonagh confronted him at the end of their fight claiming a shoulder injury.
Chris smirked at him and said he could have continued if he wanted to.
JJ got pissed off and called him arrogant.
They had to be separated.

Eubank jr has issues.
Re: Chris Eubank Jr almost kicked it off in Saudi Arabia
Chris Sr wasn't there.
Long and short of it was JJ McDonagh was called out to his face during the post fight interview and didn't like it,
Eubank kind of said he fought with one arm in his 2nd pro fight and JJ McDonagh could have continued if he wanted to.

Eubank Jnr is a lemon wherever he's at

I‘d love to see it. Sounds a bit stereotypical.

I'm siding with Eubank on this.
JJ said it wasn't just for a payday.. But then claims it was short notice and he hadn't sparred, apart from his brother/son or whatever he said.
JJ also vented during a backstage IFL interview.

Eubank, like his old man, If you don’t play him right, he’s massively antagonising and a wind up
Still think the next guy that eubank fights that can move, he will have problems.

Criticising Eubank for that is plain wrong - he was 100% right in what he said and how he said it.
McDonagh showed no sign of an injury and pulled out without showing any distress - said he couldnt fight and then when Eubank called him out on it in the interview McDonagh starts bouncing round the ring... erm aren't you injured?
Eubank was totally calm, spoke well and McDonagh os a disgrace. Someone else said it was a betting scam and it could well have been as there 2as no sign of an injury.

Yeh. Eubank was very calm. Said it how it was. He didn't offend JJ..sharpei_louis wrote: ↑29 Sep 2018, 07:12 Criticising Eubank for that is plain wrong - he was 100% right in what he said and how he said it.

Re: Chris Eubank Jr almost kicked it off in Saudi Arabia
This is what I have to say about JJ Mcdonagh's absolute farce of a display and disgrace to the sport of boxing, to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia who allowed an international boxing event to grace it's nation for the first time in history, and a disgrace to the world in general.
I say that I believe many members of the Quinn Mcdonagh Traveller clan picked up big winnings at bookies all over Ireland and the UK by betting against their family member to lose against Chris Eubank Jr very specifically by 3rd round TKO (I'm not sure if you can place a bet on a fighter retiring through injury, but if you could I'd imagine anyone betting correctly on which round a fighter will get injured and pull out would receive astronomical odds and garner an equal amount of suspicion, which leads me to the conclusion that if any skullduggery went on they would get apparently unconnected people with different family names to place bets for them on their behalf) Now how did I come to this conclusion ? ●Well it was a so called shoulder injury, if his shoulder was injured he still had his feet to move around and avoid getting tagged, in fact a foot/leg injury is far worse to sustain in the sport of boxing than an arm/shoulder injury as it makes it more difficult to evade shots, quite simply JJ could have come out even if he knew he was likely to lose and dig deep by hanging in there using footwork and covering up to last as long as possible and go out on his sheild, he would have gained the respect of the fans doing that and it would have been no shameful thing like what was expressed by the crowd in the form of boos. ● Many a fighter has fought on with much worse injuries and had to be knocked out or lose on points by not giving up and going the distance, cases in point are the very recent first Haye/Bellew fight where David fought on with an ankle injury sustained in the 6th with Bellew needing to knock him out in the 11th to get him out of there, after the 'toe' debacle against Wladimir Klitschko David finally won respect from many for showing great heart and his refusal to quit even though he knew he wasn't likely to win, then there's the case of Shannon Briggs lasting the distance against Vitali Klitschko with one arm and Vitali commending him after for having a 'massive heart', against the same man Danny Williams fought on with a broken arm with Vitali having to knock him down no fewer than four times before the referee waved it off, that's what you call 'going out on your sheild' not quitting on your stool and refusing to come out for the fourth round ! ● He showed absolutely no sign of visible pain or discomfort, and when most athletes sustain an injury serious enough to prevent them from continuing they stop as soon as the injury occurs i.e mid performance, they will be competing one second, the injury occurs, there will be an instant recognition of and reaction to the pain, and the athlete will have no choice but to pull out with the agreement of medical officials, none of that occured with JJ, in fact he gave up 'way too easily' for my liking, and rather than feeling and reacting to the pain of an injury forcing him to quit mid performance, he quit on his stool between rounds with no visible signs of injury inward or outward ! ● Anyone who knows even a little about Irish Travellers will know that they pride themselves very much on their perceived ability to fight and having a sense of heart, and when this was questioned by Chris Eubank Jr in the immediate aftermath of the fight JJ betrayed the fact that he was perfectly willing to fight Chris Eubank Jr with one arm, where in his own words said "I'm not one bit afraid of you, I'll have a straightener with you now with one arm", so the question which one must ask is "Why didn't you continue to 'fight with one arm' in the ring under Queensberry rules ???" The reason why (in my pure opinion) is for the very same reason that he chose not to come out for the fourth round, because he specifically marked that round out (the third) for his family members and friends to bet against him ! Interestingly JJ also made a post on his facebook account for "anyone wanting to bet on me 'to win' " to do so on a particular bookmaker, one that I can't quite recall the name of, but it isn't an industry leader like Ladbrokes Tote or Paddy Power but rather one I had never heard of, did he put that up to divert suspicion away from his fixed fight against Eubank Jr ? So his small band of non Traveller fans can bet on him to win and lose their money while making money for this unheard of bookmaker, while those around him in the know can bet the other way and make a fortune ? Did he have some sort of nefarious deal in place with this small bookmaking company ? It's all very suspicous to me, and that post as far as I know is still there to be seen on his facebook profile. ● And to the capstone that in my opinion caps it all off. This was the biggest most high profile fight JJ has ever been lucky enough to secure, he managed to be lucky enough to bag a fight against a household name in boxing (Eubank itself rather than just Eubank Jr) on the undercard of the super middleweight final of the WBSS in Jedda for the Muhammad Ali trophy, it's safe to say that any of his other past mundane fights against similarly mundane opponents wouldn't have drawn vast betting figures across the world, and being one half of a draw that features Chris Eubank Jr gauruntees massive betting figures across the globe, quite simply he knew he was extremely lucky to have got a shot at Eubank Jr for the exposure alone, except he wasn't interested in endearing himself to the people of the world watching for his bravery and heart, he knew that with his poor preparation and sparring 'only with my brother Paddy' that he had more chance of winning than getting a seat on the next space shuttle, so if he knows he's going to lose anyway why pass up the opportunity to make a killing when he also knew he would likely never get an opportunity to face a name like Eubank Jr ever again ? He already no doubt received the biggest pay day of his career already, I don't know how much those on the undercard were paid but the winner Callum Smith received £10 million and George Groves the beaten finalist £5 million, I'm guessing that being such a recognised name Eubank Jr would have held out for as much as he possibly could and so JJ would have gotten a similar amount, no doubt whatever it was it would have been far more than anything he had ever earned previously in the ring ! But that was clearly not enough for JJ when he could dictate the exact round the fight ended and get his people to bet against him and make an absolute killing !!! This is my own personal opinion on the absolute farce that was Chris Eubank Jr vs JJ Quinn Mcdonagh, and as such represents my 'pure opinion' meaning I can't be proved right or wrong, and I also recognise and am open to the possibility that I may be wrong, but of course I highly doubt that !

Re: Chris Eubank Jr almost kicked it off in Saudi Arabia
I've not seen the fight in forever, but he gave Saunders a very, very close fight. Hard to say if it was pre-roided Saunders, though.
Re: Chris Eubank Jr almost kicked it off in Saudi Arabia
Saunders outclassed him first half, Eubanks fitness and physicality second half took over, but it was too late.
Saunders was a pretty bad fader earlier in his career, but how much of the fade in this fight was down to Eubanks top fitness working him over?
How much if eubank getting outclassed early was down to his lack of experience against a good opponent and also 12 rounds?
It’s not crystal where you draw the line to both questions, but the groves fight told me that eubank does lack the foot work, jab and ring smarts against schooled boxers.
Eubanks fights against post Saunders, o’sullivan And Blackwell etc tell me he is able to fight at a high intensity for championship distance fights (even though neither went the distance), and has a real physicality at 160.
If they were meet again, Ive not seen improvement in eubank to suggest he wouldn’t be outboxed early vs Saunders. The question would be if he could make his physical game tell and get to Saunders early enough to force the late stoppage or indeed take the decision win from behind.
Providing Saunders hasn’t actually been getting a big boost from doping, right now if this fight was made, I’d favour the Saunders decision again
