WILDER-FURY SIGN FOR DECEMBER 1, 2018 PAY-PER-VIEW
Re: WILDER-FURY SIGN FOR DECEMBER 1, 2018 PAY-PER-VIEW
oh ya, gggs obviously not a huge ppv star, although not sure id say hes fought multiple scrubs on ppv, even the worst of his ppv oppinents was still a unification fight
as for this,im not sure what itll doo, but neither really seem big enough for it to be a really big ppv hit. id think the 300k figure would be not bad

Having not watched GGG-Monroe, I mistakenly thought that was a PPV too. GGG's inability to crack 200K PPVs showed he is not a PPV attraction without the likes of a guy like Canelo to carry the card

Kugan has spoken with FW a couple of times recently and did bring up the fact that FW said an announcement was imminent.
The latest is there is a press conference next Monday.
If it doesn't happen then it looks like a hoax.

It was official yesterday when the Staples venue was announced. They also advertised it on tonight's ShoBox card too!!

Don't get me wrong I'd like to see it but this has been dragging on for ages since Fury fought in the UK last time out.

I'd bet 5 respect points they are trying to figure out what the PPV numbers will be.

I guarantee the PPV numbers wont be anywhere NEAR what your "tocayo" Evander Holyfield could generate. Holy is in the all-time TOP 5 for PPV numbers, along with Floyd, Pac, Oscar and Tyson. I think Evander might even be ahead of Tyson since his career went about 6 years longer.

Maybe maybe not I don't know.Best Coast wrote: ↑28 Sep 2018, 23:59I guarantee the PPV numbers wont be anywhere NEAR what your "tocayo" Evander Holyfield could generate. But unless we get something solid by Monday I'm starting to lean toward the Wilder v Fury fight not happening this year.

Three pressers are already announced starting this week. Full ticket prices will be announced Wednesday.
I'd say that there's no doubt it will happen unless one of the fighters suddenly pulls out.
Always a real possibility.
Eddie Hearn has predicted that the fight will only do about 200,000 US PPV buys.
Since Hearn would be expected to badmouth and downplay the bout, it probably does closer to 300,000.
But that's pretty low too. Will it cover the fighters' purses, even with UK PPV?

This is a weird chain of events but I guess it’s good the fight is on.
I expect wilder to win convincingly against any version of fury.

Re: WILDER-FURY SIGN FOR DECEMBER 1, 2018 PAY-PER-VIEW
Hard to see how.
Three years ago, a much more fit, sharper Fury landed a grand total of 86 punches in 12 rounds against a deteriorating Klitschko. That's about 7 punches a round. Hard to imagine a fighter winning a true heavyweight title with a less dreary performance.
He showed next to nothing that night.
Now Fury's going to suddenly demonstrate real championship form after going without a legit fight since then?
That's not going to happen. Fury wasn't that great a fighter then.
He's even less today.

I’m in the boat that fury, as likeable and as skilled as he is won’t be able to deal with deontays speed and power at this stage of his career. He looked sluggish and weak fisted in his last two performances and you’re only as good as your last performance.
It’s a huge win for either though.
