Nick Blackwell: any updates on his health?
The last time I saw him he looked like his injuries were likely this permanent this time around, unlike the real luck he seemed to have after the first brain injury.
I haven't seen or heard anything about him In a long time, so I was wondering, does anyone know how his health is these days? Has there been any positive improvements from when he was last shown or is he basically in the same condition?
Very sad situation.

Last I saw was Tyson Fury meeting him at his weigh in, think it was the Pianeta fight but could be Seferi. Haven't heard anything of him for a long while unfortunately.

It seems the recovery is ongoing.....not looking great but after the second incident he has done well to get back to this point.
Others who know him, or know people who know him will be able to give more than that broad stroke.

Thanks a lot mate. That's the first time I've seen that. He actually looked better than I was expecting! I mean he's definietly put on some timber, but he's not been overly active I'd imagine for a long time. His actual speech and cognitive functions, seemed a lot better than i was expecting! It looked like he was pretty on the ball there.thepocketrocket wrote: ↑02 Oct 2018, 10:07

That was nice to see. I feel like he has real potential to make a pretty strong recovery again. Probably never to the degree after the first incident but good enough that he can lead a semi independent life eventually *fingers crossed*

Considering the diagnosis after incident no2, then this was good to see,

Yeah, I remember seeing him after the second incident and he looked vacant behind the eyes. That look that people can quite often get when they have suffered a significant brain injury. So it's nice to see him actually look like he's not doing too badly, considering how he was initially.thepocketrocket wrote: ↑02 Oct 2018, 10:51No probs at all mate.Nondescript wrote: ↑02 Oct 2018, 10:28Thanks a lot mate. Re: Nick Blackwell: any updates on his health?
Thanks mate. Clearly his physical appearance
has changed more than anything. He's definitely put on quite a bit of timber lol, but I'm gonna guess that it's related to medication he has to take these days. Also it's weird seeing him wear glasses.
I would say that his personality seems a little different aswell, but not too different. The most important thing was that he seems on the ball and could follow the conversation and reply in kind to questions that were asked of him. That's definitely a good sign.

He is definitely well different than before he had the second KO
Seems a hell of a lot sharper there.

Blimey, I don’t think I knew about the Groves incident before the fight.

His recovery after the Eubank fight was quite amazing really. He was yet to have the spar that caused the damage, as you see it nowTheLeprechaun wrote: ↑02 Oct 2018, 12:33 He is definitely well different than before he had the second KO
