Disagree.

You need to recognise a protest vote when you see one. Nobody (in their right mind) wants Griffin and Co in a position of power, however this is only the local elections. Its about serving a wake up call to the Government on their immigration policys, and followed a mere week after our twat of a Home Secretary stated around 1000 violent foreign criminals were released into the UK as oppsoed to being deported after their sentences.

The BNP are also not "Nazis".

Well they are Holacoust denires who have called for an all white britain, they were founded by a man who used to lead the openly nazi national front and are currently lead by a man from the International third position a groupe which includes a number of neo fascist groupes in Italy and europe including a number of terrorists, they have strong links with combat 18 a groupe who's name is coad for hitler, and they have threatened to have political opponents killed (including myself which is a matter of public record) so yes I think Nazi is an apt description.

I seem to recall a few years back the BNP leader Nick Griffin struck an alliance with a group of Sikh's or Hindu's -i forget which- to join forces in the "struggle against Islam". There were pictures of Griffin and an Asian guy shaking hands in the paper, maybe this is what the guy was referring to in the other post.

Maybe people feel that they are not being listened to,and feel that the English people are losing their identity.I mean in some areas people can't fly the george cross due to it offending 'minorities'!!! which is utter bollox.

I can sort of understand why people would vote for them, maybe as a last resort, although I will never condone it.

Or maybe the reason is loads of people are just racist?!? :o
Which areas are these then? This sounds like one of those stories that regularly does the rounds which on closer examination turns out to be complete horseshit. Sadly however, the people who tend to fly the george cross outside their window (except during football tournaments or the like), do tend to be fat, balding beer swilling morons of the highest order, for whom it's really important to advertise their identity.

So what if some of the people who live here are brown? As long as they are willing to work and contibute to the economy, I couldn't give a toss if they are from alpha proxima.

As Terrence and KO say on here, without immigrants this country is fucked, we need them to do all the shit-arse jobs that the average baseball cap wearing, dope smoking, burberry modelling twat from the local council estate thinks he's too good to do.

The same people who bemoan how immigrants are fornicating the country up, are the same fuckwits who live their entire life on the dole and spend all their money on lottery tickets and cans of stella.

Now, I know that is a stereotype, but where there's smoke there's fire eh? At least that's what racist morons in the BNP would have us believe.

The BNP might try and moderate their views by getting posh mock tory candidates to speak on TV, but if they had their way I'd probably be sent back to Ireland even though I've never lived there, and this country would go to the dogs.

Anybody voting BNP as a protest vote is playing with fire, we give these bastards leeway at our peril. Tessa Jowell got it in the neck over her comments, and the labour councillors even blamed her directly for it happening, but she was bloody well right.

I cannot think of a single instance of me 'being told what to do' by anyone in official capacity, despite all these ludicrous stories about how black bin liners are called something different, or how a blackboard cannot be called a blackboard, I've yet to see a shred of evidence to substantiate any of this talk. There was that one case of muslims complaining about Mecca's name being used for gambling, but that was just a tiny group of people, no different to Mary Whitehouse's band of ageing christian warriors constantly whingeing about 'moral decency' difference was, because she was white and english, people just ignored her.

Josh - they are more mainstream now. What you've written there is a merely list of affiliate organisations, some actual some disputed. Griffin himself is supposed on a ‘stab on sight’ directive from Red Watch, which is a bit odd if he’s purely there to peddle the cause of “Nazi” groups.

What you’re doing is akin to constantly referring to the Real IRA in the context of any discussion regarding Sinn Fein… They are not one and the same.

The BNP perhaps used to be nothing bunch of half-wit skinhead thugs, but I gather they’re keen to rid themselves of those kind of “supporters”, and are far more interested in appealing to larger sections of the populace, and peddling “Nazi” policy would hardly achieve that goal would it…

Bring yourself into 2006 mate.

That’s what I love about Islam. It's a tolerant religion, respectful of the history and culture of everyone. :o

P.S I apologise for my tongue-in-cheek statement, which in reference to a minority religion in the UK is doubtlessly politically incorrect.

Ah right, well if Ghadaffi says it is true, then it must be.....are you expecting us to take this seriously?

There are also specific laws in place in this country, which clearly set out the separation between church and state. They are written into out statutes. Europe has a population of about 300 million I believe, and that is without Turkey and Albania.

Turkey might be a mulsim country, but is a secular state, not a religious one.

There are two sets of picturs of me on redwatch one of witch was taken by Mark Collett Leeds BNP organiser and one By Tony Wentwoth former youth leader. In my expereance (I work with UAF) there are a fair few of the racist thug eliments in there activists on the ground (particularly in Halifax my home town).

The things which are said behind closed doors by the BNP are very sereouse indeed. the sute thing is just a visage otherewise they wouldn't be meeting with the renasonce movement in the United States and Jean Mari Le Penn

So you're afraid that a population of 300-400 million people are going to be overrun by 50 million muslims?

What do you suggest, we begin sterilising muslims, or perhaps we should brainwash them all into becoming christians?

What is far more likely to happen is that as these people become part of Europe, the access to money, affluence and a leisurely way of life will make them less inclined to religious fervour.

This is going to go around in circles and is pointless on the internet, the only way for anyone to get what they think is right is to vote for a party that will repersent what they belive to be right.

I have wasted 6 years by not voting, i will make sure i vote at every election from now on.

Lets hope the World is a peace loving place where we can all live together as one :TU:

Where you from in Halifax Josh? I think the BNP partly got in, in Halifax as they were appealing on local issues that the other parties didn't look at. Theres some amount of racial tension in Halifax with white and asian kids growing up in completely different neighbouhoods. Asian kids used to beat up white kids coming down Gibbet Street and the Asian minorities in white halifax schools used to cop beatings as did Asian kids going down white council estates.

After Bradford Riots I remember taxi drivers saying a white guy would get in his cab ask to be taken down some council estate and there'd be a gang of white lads waiting and they'd beat the crap out of him with bats. I think relations in Bradford are a bit better these days as Asians are going up market and been less TP wannabee gangsters causing fights (although theres still an element of that).

Exactly the Pakistani elders complain about there kids been westernised but this means socially there becomes less differences and people get on better. Look at the Muslims that landed in Wales at the turn of the century, something tells me their ancestors are likely to be tad less Islamic.

When we see our boys come home in body bags we cry to god and lose our nerve, the Muslims rejoice when they lose one of their own in a war, that is why they are going to kick our arses in time.

Its a pity as Islam is a historically tolerant religion, we started fornicating with it by slaughtering the people of Palestine and setting up an illegal state based on a Biblical prophecy that never came true (return of a king of the Davidic line and a miracle, 6-day war was seen as a miracle by Zionist Jews but guess what? It was not a miralce but a slaughter due to US troops and weaponry). That is why the world is in a precarious position and why a Zionist is not a Jew.
Hmmm interesting rant, and I agree that we/the US should never have entered Iraq (though not sure where you got the idea the US troops were used in the 6 day war.)

But most notable is the assertion you have made that Islam is a historically tolerant religion...... without wanting to cause upset; it has been anything but. This is part of liberal wishful thinking that ignores Islamic history, female oppression, and aggressive ideology.

In short - Islam was mostly spread by the sword and and there are many, many verses in the Quran and the Hadith sanctioning violence and war. In one key Hadith, Muhammad essentially outlines the three choices that face non-Muslims:
1. Convert
2. Pay specific taxes Muslims are not required to pay and essentialy become a second class citizen in a Muslim state
3. War with Muslims.

I really have no want to get into a big internet discussion about Islam; but I do suggest you and others who want to perpetuate the myth of Islam as 'the religion of peace' research the subject a little. However much one wishes the world to be a certain way; won't change the way they actually are.

I am not interested in following any organized religion, but rest assured that of all the key world religions, theologically as well as pragmatically, Islam encourages and accepts violence in ways the others do not.

The rise of Islam was achieved militarily. The religious traditions of Islam are therefore founded in a time of violence.
That does not mean modern muslims are all violent terrorists.
Islam is not a religion of peace or war, it's just a religion.
Islam reached it's peak under the Ottoman's, under whom there was no compulsion to convert, under whom all religions of the book where treated with equal respect (MORE SO THAN IN TODAYS DEMOCRACIES),
under whom all subjects of the empire had equal opportunity to progress in society, based solely on talent and ability.

I think you will find few books which condone violence more readily than the bible, the old testament is full of god telling various prophets to annihilate the enemies of the Israelites.

One of the great ironies is that Iraq was one of the few Arab states which was for the most part secular. Women enjoyed freedom not to wear the Hijab as they saw fit, and were able to work alongside men and have good career prospects. Now they are being threatened with death by militatnts who are using the opportunity of a power vacuum to try and seize power and turn Iraq into a religious state, where the law is taken from Islamic teaching.....

Way to go USA and Britain, you've turned Iraq into an Islamic state!

Interesting stuff there Terrence, most informative, quite an insight. Let's face it, all religions have something valid to teach, but equally, all are utter bollocks also, and no modern society should be run from the pages of texts which are centuries old, and therein lies the problem. Those who follow a religion of any kind, tend to see the world as evil, corrupt and wicked and that if only everyone followed their way, it would be a better place.

The trouble is, in order to bring about this 'better way' religious zealots are quite prepared to murder and ransack whole civilisations, just as the moral minority in America have advocated in attacking Iraq, to supposedly save the heathens from oppression and bring them into the light of democracy and truth. America is turning into a state governed by the religious fundamental right, despite the fact they are a minority, as they are the ones who are most politically active, and have their allies in the corridors of power who know that they want to keep their voting blocks secure. It's a dangerous precedent.
