Watch and learn. What a decade, though it drove some of us crazy with it's confusion, ambiguity, postponements, and anomalies.
An excellent 90's Boxing History lesson.
Re: An excellent 90's Boxing History lesson.
I watched it about the time it had been posted. I'm a longtime follower of that channel, the guy makes interesting stuff. And talking about the 90s themselves, it was an incredible era. Highly competetive, filled with excellent competitors and exciting fights.

How much of an interloper does Shannon Briggs look in that thumbnail?
Lewis! Holyfield! Tyson! Bowe! Foreman! Moorer! Douglas!
Briggs?
Get the hell out of here, you nothing!
That space should have been taken by Tommy Morrison, or Razor Ruddock, or Ray Mercer, or Oliver McCall, or Andrew Golota. Larry Holmes even! Someone who made an impact and was part of the excitement.
Yes I know it's just a thumbnail. But still.

ya, of course you cant help but bitch and moan even from a thumbnail
Re: An excellent 90's Boxing History lesson.
Briggs was a lineal champ after he won Foreman, but, yeah, that was a robbery. Probably a purposive move by the chiefs to make Foreman pay for his arguable wins and choosing Briggs out of a row of suggested opponents, where a lot of them were much more tougher and famous.Tuan_Jim wrote: ↑05 Oct 2018, 14:36 How much of an interloper does Shannon Briggs look in that thumbnail?

Lewis, Holyfield, Bowe and Tyson are the big four of the 90s. Right in this order. Moorer and Mercer should be next. And a lot of guys were better than Briggs for sure. Golota, Morrison, Foreman, McCall, Bruno, Witherspoon, Ruddock, Douglas, Tua, you name it.
