Light-heavyweight World Championships, history of hosting countries?

Post by worrypascanada »

Hello,

Up until Yvon Durelle vs. Archie Moore Light-heavyweight World Championship bout of December 10, 1958, at the Montreal Forum, did Canada previously host/hold a similar event?

How can I get this fact from BoxRec.com ring records?

Thanks in advance for your help,

Try surfing around; go to any fighter and pick a date, click it and start looking for arenas and pavilions in Canada. Once you find one click on that arena and see what other fights occurred there.

I used the Jack Root fight mentioned above, went to the date and then the arena and discovered that between 1901 and 1904 there were 17 fight nights held at that arena.

That's how I do it anyway, I just surf around usually learning something I didn't want to know and not finding out what I wanted to know, but in the end you come away usually learning something new.
