War conor
Khabib will have him in serious trouble if he can get him down and G&P the f*ck out of him but I think he gets ko'd before that point
Me too, conor will k.o him before he even gets conor on the ground. Im not a great fan of conor atm,i used to be but his antics the past 12-18mobths have put me right off him
It's ridiculous! He said he almost walked away from the sport cause they stripped him. He can't be be that thick regarding this.
I can't wait for Khabib to put an end to this. Sure McGregor could catch him coming in but as soon as Khabib gets to a clinch the fight is his from then on.Impractical Poster wrote: ↑04 Oct 2018, 20:26It's ridiculous! I like Khabib's response when asked his thoughts on this during today's presser. He doesn't care what Conor does, but is bothered that Dana acknowledged the belts at the first presser. Not surprising though. He caters to his cash maker.
The president of the UFC not only allows it, he encourages it with Conor.leejonesjnr wrote: ↑05 Oct 2018, 02:14I don’t really follow MMA, but is it not just that nobody else HAS, rather than nobody else has been able to?
There's been plenty of former champs fighting for another belt, there's been champs who have held belts in 2 divisions. None have done what Conor did nor had help from the UFC to do so.leejonesjnr wrote: ↑05 Oct 2018, 02:14I don’t really follow MMA, but is it not just that nobody else HAS, rather than nobody else has been able to?
But... so what? Have they been prevented from doing so?p4p1 wrote: ↑05 Oct 2018, 16:32There's been plenty of former champs fighting for another belt, there's been champs who have held belts in 2 divisions. Connor has made him billions, he'd let him piss in his pocket if he asked.Impractical Poster wrote: ↑05 Oct 2018, 10:27The president of the UFC not only allows it, he encourages it with Conor.leejonesjnr wrote: ↑05 Oct 2018, 02:14I don’t really follow MMA, but is it not just that nobody else HAS, rather than nobody else has been able to?
If it was anyone else, you can bet your ass the void belts wouldn't be allowed at pressers.
I don't get this train of thought. Conor couldn't ko Nate who was ktfo by Josh Thompson. Khabib got nailed with a similar shot from Johnson that ktfo Poirier and took it standing.
Either way it's equal parts ridiculous and cringey.leejonesjnr wrote: ↑05 Oct 2018, 16:58But... so what? Conor does not have one punch power either which gets overlooked a lot.Impractical Poster wrote: ↑05 Oct 2018, 22:04I don't get this train of thought. Conor couldn't ko Nate who was ktfo by Josh Thompson. Khabib got nailed with a similar shot from Johnson that ktfo Poirier and took it standing.
There is no indication that Khabib can get koed by Conor. However, there is plenty of evidence of Conor being submitted... Several times.
History makes way for the educated pick being Khabib. Saying that Conor will ko Khabib is a biased, uneducated pick of how the fight will end. Not saying it can't happen, but it's a hopeful statement.
Just sayin...
It depends. He did with Aldo. But with most of his opponents it a culmination of precise shots. I think I remember Mendes mentioning it wasn't his power so much as his precision.p4p1 wrote: ↑05 Oct 2018, 23:03Conor does not have one punch power either which gets overlooked a lot.Impractical Poster wrote: ↑05 Oct 2018, 22:04I don't get this train of thought. Aldo jumped at him chin first which is why he went out. Could you imagine a real puncher landing similar combos on Alvarez and him not going out?Impractical Poster wrote: ↑05 Oct 2018, 23:43It depends. He did with Aldo. Khabib looks to have a durable chin. I believe he will get hit by Conor. And I believe he takes it well. Wonder what is going to be running through Conor's head if he gives Khabib his best and Khabib is still pressing forward relentlessly.
Khabib is a fantastic chain wrestler who will shoot and shoot and shoot til he gets the TD and if he takes McG to the ground he can G&P the f*ck out of him and clearly win the fight but whether it's ko or tko I really see McG winning the fight , McG needs to jab and move & sprawl aS best he can & use footwork to throw Khabib out of his train of thought as if he notices opportunities to shoot and he can get them McG be f*ckedImpractical Poster wrote: ↑05 Oct 2018, 22:04I don't get this train of thought. My point is, what makes you think he can ko Khabib, who has shown a very sturdy chin @ 155 when he couldn't stop Nate who had been knocked silly @ 155?Oiky wrote: ↑06 Oct 2018, 06:03Khabib is a fantastic chain wrestler who will shoot and shoot and shoot til he gets the TD and if he takes McG to the ground he can G&P the f*ck out of him and clearly win the fight but whether it's ko or tko I really see McG winning the fight , McG needs to jab and move & sprawl aS best he can & use footwork to throw Khabib out of his train of thought as if he notices opportunities to shoot and he can get them McG be f*ckedImpractical Poster wrote: ↑05 Oct 2018, 22:04I don't get this train of thought. Mendes is better at TDs anyway I think
But yeah , McG all the way for me
Can see him possibly getting Aldo'd whilst going in for a TDImpractical Poster wrote: ↑06 Oct 2018, 10:47My point is, what makes you think he can ko Khabib, who has shown a very sturdy chin @ 155 when he couldn't stop Nate who had been knocked silly @ 155?Oiky wrote: ↑06 Oct 2018, 06:03Khabib is a fantastic chain wrestler who will shoot and shoot and shoot til he gets the TD and if he takes McG to the ground he can G&P the f*ck out of him and clearly win the fight but whether it's ko or tko I really see McG winning the fight , McG needs to jab and move & sprawl aS best he can & use footwork to throw Khabib out of his train of thought as if he notices opportunities to shoot and he can get them McG be f*ckedImpractical Poster wrote: ↑05 Oct 2018, 22:04

Was there any indication that the likes of Poirier, Aldo and Alvarez would be knocked out as easily as they were by McGregor? There might be no evidence that Khabib is a knockout waiting to happen, but there's plenty of evidence of McGregor knocking out fighters who definitely weren't a knockout waiting to happen.Impractical Poster wrote: ↑05 Oct 2018, 22:04I don't get this train of thought.
